totally true tim , my 2002 7.3 has 48k since may 2003 (got it with 4k) except for oil changes and the tranny fluid changed, no problems. however, reading all those negative reports about the 6.0 are kinda shying me away from buying one. im pretty sure id get a more honest answer here then from a salesman lol. if the problems are squared away with the 04 and 05's comin in no sweat. seems the problems are with the 03's. thanx for keepin me informed , helluva website. stay safe, jimmy

YOU have high miliage please follow instructions and post...........please read before you type.
Thanks

Go to this thread, read completely…. Follow, on page 3..MLF250’s format, it is good…and easy! and post. Important update to instructions on page 6.
Most important part of this data...also, there “is” owners out there that have had no problems. To be fare to my methodology… I need the same from the “no problem” owners.. i.e. mileage (mileage is the odometer reading)
important a “no problem” statement if you have had none.

ODOMETER reading at time of problem is critical.
In addition, please read more instructions, bottom of first page, posted by Tim L
The simpler the writing (posting) of “problem/odometer” reading………….the easier it will be to collate.
Do not need many words, NO stories.
I must reduce all the date into a usable format; extra words will take more time to complete.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...hreadid=185570

I implore all 6.0 owners to please take the time

Thanks
Tim

2004 f250 king ranch, crew cab, 4x4 loaded. eng build date 11/03, just got latest flash, 3/08/2004, engine is now louder, sounds like the oold 7.3 at idle, mileage too soon to tell, it looks worse.
still having 4 wheel drive engagaement problems, I think not enough vacuum, never had this with old 7.3, dealer says I am crazy!
4,450 miles, debating envoking lemon law, will test off road this weekend, if it does not work, lemon law time!
I think ford conspired selling this 6.0, made it quiter at the dealer lot, but knew it would need reprogramming after it sold, but in order make EPA happy, purposedly retarded timing.
