Hi Mecdac, as far as the coverage is concerned, I don't blame the guys we see. I feel that they are overconstrained by the program directors. The guys are actually very very knowledgeable but are not given the opportunity to demonstrate it. Like the damned reality shows, all they care about is schedule, drama and winners/losers. Even when Machett is given a shot, they only give him ninety seconds to explain a complex subject. Not enough time. They are never given sufficient time for anything in depth. The program directors always dumb down the show. They don't realize that most F1 fans would really like a lot more technical coverage and have the background to understand it.
It is clear that we only see the video that our commentators are given and that if they controlled the cameras it could be a lot better. They have split screen that they use for some of the commercials. They could use that for replays or coverage of track cameras showing duels going on away from the main coverage.

It is possible I may be a little too hard on them. The reality show reference is exactly what I am going on about.
Not having control of the content does seem cumbersome.
As mentioned earlier I may have been a little too harsh.
But I still don't like the injection of drama in an effort to get me to watch. I am already watching GDamit stop pandering and soliciting me.
Guess I'm just a critic with negative outlook. I used to love when Sir Jackie Stewart worked the Indy races and if I were not stuck in a suite in Dallas, TX I might have a better attitude.
If the racing is as competitive the rest of the season as that one race was you don't have to inject drama.
Good for Nico. Yet another win for him, stretching his lead in the points.
I was so Happy for Masa, taking the pole. Those Williams cars are so fast. This is further vindication of Masa. How happy he must be finishing fourth while the guy who got his job at Ferrari so far back in the pack.
I looked like Nico was going to win but his car failed him late in the race.
Lewis won it.
Kimmi got pushed off on lap one, tried to recover but could not regain control. Smacked a barrier which sent him spinning through traffic. Massa was taken out in that mess and it caused a one hour red flag.
The other Williams finished with a podium as did Riccardo'
