Schumacher family reportedly told 'only a miracle' can save driver

The family of legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher has reportedly been told that "only a miracle" can save him.
Britain's Daily Telegraph reported Saturday say that the seven-time world champion's wife and brother have been consulting brain specialists and been told that his chances of recovery are minimal.
Schumacher has been in an artificially induced coma at a French hospital for over two months after suffering serious brain injuries in a fall while skiing at an Alpine resort in late December. The driver's management team has maintained that doctors have reduced the drug levels in an attempt to bring Schumacher into a 'wake-up' phase.
However, the Telegraph reported that Schumacher's family is now concerned that doctors will assume that Schumacher will be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life. Two weeks ago, a German magazine reported that doctors had been forced to put Schumacher back into a coma as a result of complications from the 'wake-up' process. That report was strenuously denied by Schumacher spokeswoman Sabine Kehm.
"[Schumacher] is in a bad way, but until the family issues a formal statement, we cannot publish anything," a German journalist told the Telegraph Saturday. Another source said, "Doctors have given it to them straight. Miracles sometimes happen, but there is little hope that he will come out of this."
Hard to imagine they would have but Red Bull has a history of sandbagging.
FWIW I like the direction F1 is going this year and am excited to see how it works out. I've been saying for a long time that the speed reduction regulations are ruining the sport and saying that it would best be done with fuel consumption limits. Now that they have fuel consumption limits next I hope they free up the teams to do what they want and innovate on their own. Even regulations as simple as the 1.6L rule are useless now with the fuel limit you have a natural limit on displacement that may actually be lower then 1.6L.
Tech issues aside for the moment, I am SO excited about qualifying.
And I am hoping to see Massa kicking *** in the Williams!
I would love to see Alonzo take another championship!
I fully expect to see Kimmi at or near the front in the race because Kimmi does that.
Hoping to see Rosberg, over the length of the season show that he is superior to his team mate. (Something about that almost whiny, entitled attitude of Hamilton that bothers me. And I say that acknowledging that he is capable of winning the championship.)
All told, I would say that we have a wealth of talent in the field this year. And not only the drivers but the teams. Looking at the rule changes they have had to deal with, entirely new cars and such short notice... WOW! The have done it, they all showed up on the grid with untested cars and most of them are within two seconds of each other. Miraculous!
And these cars, unsorted, are faster than the 2013 cars.
