Y'all sound like you dont have too much experience under the hood. Who said you have to have 4-5 inch drive shafts? I have seen a LOT of drive shafts smaller than that (but i look at other cars instead of sitting around staring at mine sitting in the garage) I just got back from the drive way. Guess what?? My dads sonoma has 3 inch shafts. You would have never guessed it but my sisters are even smaller. WOW! her tempo has 2.25 inch shafts. Hey! I think i have heard of exhaust pipe tat size. As for calling this idea dumb, have you ever tried it or know anybody that has. I bet not! So until you see it i dont think you have any say in wheter it is dumb or not. just leave my ideas alone and ill leave yours alone. Hey by the way fish thats a good idea about the axle tubes. Now we're thinkin.

ya...but dude, think about the spare driveshafts you could have on hand when out hardcore wheelin' at the mall! also you could slip an axle shaft in there and kill 2 birds with one d/s

just another creative idea

HEHE, i say swipe your sisters d/s...she'll never know!

no one has tried it cause it is so dumb, lol

Give him a break. Heck, sounds like a great idea, and there are a lot of 2 wheel drive trucks that have been junked that dont have their d/s's anymore, so that sounds like a perfect plan. Not dumb at all. And what about mud racing classes that require exhaust past the cab, and you wanna run a set of f/w headers with 4 or 5 inch collectors? Heck 3 1/2 and 4 inch shafts would work perfect in this case. Stop giving him a hard time, heck, he's more creative if you ask me. And, BTW, I'm in high school too, so just cuz were young, doesnt mean were dumb.

I'm not even going to touch the comment about you guys not being dumb even though your still in high school...

its too easy

Now why don't you guys relax, and just do whatever you want to your rigs. Us folks here on an internet forum certainly don't care. BTW Brandon, I like your sig.

Each to their own. I've done my fair share of trying new "stupid" things. Some have worked, others have not.

Pro, I like your guage. I need one of those for people at work.

Yea, that gauge cracks me up. I can think of several peeps that could use one. Thats cool that your dad has been working with you since you were 10 Brandon, thats how I learned too. That and my buddies dad who was a racer since the 40's. Times have changed, but there is allot of knowledge in the old school.

Thats how i leared everything i know about cars. (and of course this site) My dad has a construction company and since i was old enough to hold a flashlight i was right out there with him. By the time i was 8 i was running dozers and backhoes during the days in the summer and help work on them at night. My dad is where i got the idea for drive shaft pipes. My grandpa is 79 adn he can still work circles around me. I guess there is one thing we agree on.

Thats cool that you guys' grandpa's are still around and wrenching. Mine were the same way before they kicked the bucket...I learned a hell of allot from them. You guys seem to have weathered my good-natured ribbing gracefully so I think you'll do well here. Glad to have ya aboard. I still want to see somebody make driveline zoomies though. It would be worth it for the WTF! factor. Out~
