Sportsman's Warehouse could not tell me when or if, the Taurus 856 Defender would be back in stock, so I bought the 2-inch 856. The $50 discount went away after entering the card number so I called their customer service number, and they did the order over the phone with the $50 discount applied. I bought 50 rounds of ammo and shooting glasses, and the total was $371.89. It will be delivered the 25-26th of this month. I don't know if the 11-day waiting period starts now, or when it is actually in the store, but it should start now. However, I know there will be more fees when I go get it, so who knows?

Short ribs, to me, were always short ribs. Short ribs used to be cheap, because they came from the Chuck. All of the things that I grew up eating, used to be cheap cuts that nobody wanted. Chuck, Tri Tip, Oxtail, chicken wings......... Now, in today's world, nothing is cheap. Short rib meat is now called a "Denver Steak".

Score 1 for the good guys. In this maddening world of chaos, something good is happening. And Jim's truck is running.

I want to be a cheerleader. I bet it pays more than SSN. Of course, they only mention the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, not any of the other teams. However, I expect the other team's cheerleaders will want a raise also.

Another Friday is upon us! Hope everyone has a great day.
My truck is still running great. Must be a miracle from God. I know I have mentioned this before, but the last shop I took it to is now going to be my go-to shop for anything that happens to the truck in the future.

To be fair, the other shop who couldn't get anything done right or on time........ they did give you a chicken drumstick once. That has to count for something.

Pizza day. Made it myself. Including the dough. Thick crust, just like I grew up eating. In my neighborhood, everyone ate thick crust pizza. We thought that the thin crust was a ripoff. A thick crust, with a pile of toppings. California style, Sicilian pizza. Tomato, eggplant, peppers, onions, garlic, basil. A garden salad pizza.

Not only did they give me a chicken drumstick, but they also gave me $100 for food once too. And looking back on all the work they did do, they cut me a huge deal on their labor rates. So, I can't complain too much about that.

As The X likes to say, I am not fooling anyone. Just using whatever is in the fridge. A refrigerator cleaning meal. Eggplant, bell pepper, onion, corn, carrots, cucumber...... and meat.
