The local grocery store had rib eye on sale.

The nephews and nieces wanted to go to Original Joe's.

I never say "no", when invited out to a nice restaurant meal.

I'm not complaining. I love going to Original Joe's. So I didn't say a word about the ribeye in the oven. I also love a whole ribeye to myself.

Not a whole lot of marbling it that , I would think not the right pasture mix , I like fat in the meat because it keeps it moist when being cooked, brisket has too much and I see master chefs cut most of that off , not much meat left when the fat is all trimmed off .
the heat is upon us , we started level 1 fire restrictions, I forgot and stayed working on the tractor from 8am to 3:40 pm, most gravel driveways were destroyed from the heavy rains and water run off , the road gutter needed dug out , I was trying to finish up before my clients returned home , it’s a very long driveway that runs way back to their home , most of it is done , now waiting on truck loads of new gravel to be dropped so I can grade it out on the roadway.

Hi guys,

I got up early and put a 10 lb Pork roast on the smoker, I'm thinking about 12 hours it should be done.... Dinner at 1800 hours!

I agree. It looks like it was produced to be marketed towards the "health food" demographic. Not raised for flavor.

I'm not sure who raised the cattle or what they did or didn't do. Here's the package:

The product is lean. Lacking the fat flavor. Good enough for a bowl of noodles.

Deja Vu

This is happening all over again.

Interesting that pictured in the newspaper archives, is the current police chief. That was back when he was a lowly street cop, having to wear a uniform, and actually put hands on street people.

They need to export them to Los Angeles so they can clean up the streets.

I am wondering why Lucky is selling meat from Brasil, and Costco is selling meat from New Zealand.

I am sure they wouldn't do it if it was not cheaper for them than buying meat here.

Obviously it's price. That's where it gets "political".

If we don't talk about religion and politics; what's left? Talk about the weather?

I don't buy meat lately. Too expensive. My ex-roommate is getting $3,600 a month from welfare. She can afford meat. LOL

I don't even want to know how or why she gets $3,600. Don't even tell us about food stamps, medical, and free bus &taxi vouchers.

I am quitting. I am just going to move in with Jim and get welfare.

That pic looks good to be above! I don’t do well in the gray weather.

We are in a cool week right now, but things are looking to ramp back up in about 9 days.

Jr. is waiting for training to start and then will be out on a CCC Fire Crew, the small fires are popping up all over from last night’s lightning storm.
