My Condolences.
Scott, you were right. A friend of my niece's came over to check out the problems with the truck not shifting. He says the brake light switch is not telling the computer the brake pedal is pressed. So, it is not releasing the gear shifter. He also said the people who "repaired" it were lazy and tried to zip tie it together. He says it is a $30 part, so I will buy that next payday and have him install it.
This truck is really testing me. I told you all how I drove to Kerman and back with the CC on at 60mph with no death wobble. Yesterday, I took my niece and her son to the local beauty college for a haircut (got mine cut too) and then drove home. Maybe 12 miles in total on surface streets. I get within a quarter mile of the apartment, doing 30mph, and the death wobble shows up. Scared the heck out of me. So, after the brake light switch is replaced, I will have to go to Midas for their free alignment check. They should be able to tell me what parts are needed to fix the front end.
We only have 36° on the temp-o-meter this morning. I'm guessing those of you in the valleys or further north probably have frozen bird baths (at least)..
As they say: do your own research. This is only 1 little piece of the bigger picture. Nonetheless, it's mind boggling to me. How is anyone making $2 an hour?
This is what happens when The 9ers aren't playing. I get distracted by trivial matters.
Jim , keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome , all vehicles have that safety device in the brake petal , I’m surprised it went into gear by not hitting the brake or started for that matter ,
22 deg again this morning, the roof still has frost on it and the suns out , I’ll be out putting my LED headlights in , can’t wait , for now here’s the farm door brackets installed, and they are working great , for what I was working with .
Thanks guys , the hay barn is open on each side with feed bins full length of the barn , been buying heavy round bails and dropping them in the pasture with the tractor , instead of feed bins , saves a lot of time when feeding 40 head , the cows know where the feed is , they test every opening .
installed my Hikari Led headlights today , man I’ve been missing out on great lighting in the truck , I still need to adjust a bit but the road is really lit up , then I turn on my grill lights , the mountains are lit up like day light, I’ll never go back to Halogen Everrrrr.
