well tonight I decided to get pizza that was close to dealership just to cruise their lot and what did I find, my truck !!! ford site is off for sure still says not shipped but here it is!! Looking forward to the call Thursday morning from them!! and yes it was convoy/truck
Update on mine - built as of 4/23, waiting to ship. Estimated delivery 5/10-5/16. Gonna make a 7 hour trip in several weeks because it's crossing 1 state by rail...then still has a 3 hour ride.
My truck came out of production on a Wednesday, showed up as shipped on Thursday, at the dealer 8 days later. Went by rail, KY to a MA rail yard 40 min. From dealer. It did sit in the rail yard for about 2 days before they trucked it over, not unreasonable. Once it is on a train, any dealer has the ability to track. I would not rely on what the Ford tracking says as evident by the above case. Based in what I have seen in these posts, I suspect updates rely on someone doing data entry and is not an automated process.

After it is built, this is likely the case, since it is outside a system that has consistent automated monitoring. The assembly line itself knows where each vehicle 'carriage' is, so once a truck rolls off the line, the automated system knows it has been BUILT. Shipping and tracking after that is likely much less automated.
Looks like my F350 Platinum is finally in production. Looks just like fishdude2019's truck from a couple posts up. I ordered on March 1st so just over 7 weeks to get to production. It was scheduled to start production the week of 4/28, so it started a bit early. I was prepared for it to be delayed since I ordered it with some of the items that tend to cause build issues such as 5th wheel prep and sray-in bedliner. Pleasantly surprised.

Unless it is being shipped via rail, in which case you can find out where it is in virtually real time by monitoring the location of the rail car once that has been assigned. That is, until it again reaches the destination yard where your information becomes more limited.

Mine was 'in production' the second time for about a week and a half before the as-built data appeared, and the next day it switched to Built. It went 'in production' a week early but still ended up getting built the week it was scheduled.

Count your blessings. Took mine almost 5 mos to move into production from order date, 6 months to the day to get delivered. It has both the fifth wheel prep and spray- in bed liner. Hope your delivery goes smoothly.
Feeling super lucky, I must have hit the order window just right. I ordered my 25, F250 Lariat, lightly unfitted, on April 12. Received confirmation April 14. Today April 24 I received a build week of May 26. That’s pretty slick if you ask me.

I ordered on 4/8 for my F350 Lariat and my dealer told me it would likely be 6 months minimum based on previous placements and they are a high volume dealer. on April 12 I got a May 12 build date and I have all the usual hold up options like 5th wheel prep and spray in bed liner. My sales guy was flabergasted.

I doubt it'll be six months, but expect that build date to be moved out roughly a month. I ordered 2/5, was originally given a build week at the end of March. Was then moved to May. Then got pulled up to week of 4/21. Came off the line yesterday. F350 Lariat, Tremor, Black Appearance (spray in bedliner required), and fifth wheel prep. Estimated delivery May 10-16, because it's being put on a train and who knows how long it'll sit in the receiving yard before it's put on a truck coming up this way. As long as everything works and it's got no damage I'm looking forward to it showing up.
I’m fully expecting the date to move around (likely further out, I added the black package, w/factory bed lining) and I’m fine with that. Id like to not see it until June 2, after employee pricing is done on every other vehicle and new offer programs are set for June. Lariats are seldom rebated I know but they may offer better financing at least. I hope that the ‘hand raiser’ rebates come back too, which would apply to a lariat, but we’re taken away when employee pricing started even though it didn’t apply to superdutys. When I ordered I was expecting to see the truck maybe by September. But my new addiction is listening to Long McArthur Ford. I started doing the math and it just makes sense these orders will be built fast. (Last week retail orders were at 5k trucks, and they turn out 800-1000 a day) So they’re turning over that order volume every week they’re in production and scheduling out 3-4 weeks ahead. Getting a little excited to have a VIN issued.
