Feel for everyone that has a hitch with their order, my first time using it - Ordered Dec 27th and picked it up the end of the first week of March and it is quite optioned out, including spray in bed liner and such. Had enough time already to fix the chin spoiler, rims & tires, Retrax, some small stuff and the Banks order is inbound. What should a guy ask for the stock 20” rims & Bridgestones c/w TPMS system?
I haven't looked back through the whole thread...how long have most people's trucks been 'in production?' Mine has been showing in production since the 10th...getting close to 2 weeks now. If that's normal I won't worry, but I haven't seen the 'As Built' data show up yet either so...I'm getting concerned.
ok so the truck is built and waiting shipping , so I looked at the ramp codes for shipping and saw CA1K from my window sticker understanding that is for in,mi,tn and I need KY which is CGK5. guess I'm going to be waiting for awhile. So much for it getting built in record time! and hopefully no quality issues or problems
For all you folks who are getting impatient when your truck shows "in production" or "waiting to be shipped" for too long, let me tell you, it could be much, much worse. I placed my order for a 2025 King Ranch F450 on October 9 and received an order confirmation from Ford two days later. Since then, I've received three emails from Ford telling me they are "working to schedule" my truck for production. That's over SIX MONTHS just working to schedule it. Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated.

So when you asked the ford chat agent for the rail car info and provided them your VIN and order number, did they have a rail car for you?
I haven't done that, since it is to be on a convoy, but still, I didn't think of asking that to the chat person!!!
Not sure what you mean by convoy unless you’re referring to the word printed on the window sticker. That’s not really relevant as trucks shipped by rail will still say convoy. Every truck I have ordered said convoy despite the fact it traveled 1800 miles on a train.
is CA1K really a KY ramp? How close to The truck plant are you?
Well, unless I change my mind between now and this TUE, I'll be trading in the F150 on the F350 ...
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I changed my mind.
Just too difficult to walk away from a perfectly good 2021 F150 Platinum that has never given me an ounce of trouble in 78K miles and on which I could pay off right now, only owing $20K @ 1.89% APR. I would be swapping that and spending $90K on an overpriced Lariat having what seems like half the standard features as my F150. I also decided that I was putting the cart before the horse by buying the SD *before* we decided on the RV/toyhauler, the latter of which is likely a year or two down the road.

Depends on if the delivery location can be reached by truck or not, some can and still go by rail. Others that are at least 2 days trip will say Rail. I have several stickers from previous trucks some say convoy some say rail.

So ... back to mostly lurk mode.
Good choice. Trucks are sitting on lots not moving. Pay yours off, then find a super deal on a used one if you need it. I wish I could have kept my F150 as a DD, miss getting 21+ MPG. It got better MPG than the Flex I have now.

the Louisville plant is only like 45 mins from dealership, so I'm going with convoy/truck.
Yeah I knew that list was floatin around here.
You get to miss the joy of tracking a rail car across the country for 14 days like some of us. Hope it finds its way to you soon. For mine, it sat at the destination yard for only 3 or 4 days before final truck delivery.

No. My only point was, the fact it says CONVOY on the window sticker does NOT mean it may not go by rail. All my ordered vehicles have said CONVOY on the window sticker. All have traveled thousands of miles by rail. Convoy on the window sticker does not mean the vehicle is travelling cross country on an auto carrier truck.

I just find it odd that mine says it'll go by rail, despite the fact that the KY truck plant is a 7 hour drive from the dealership. I mean I understand they usually need several vehicles to make the run to a dealer's area worth the trip, but it will just suck for it to spend several days on a train car waiting in one yard or another to get loaded/switched/unloaded, THEN put on a truck for a 3 hour trip minimum.
Also, As-Built data showed up today for the BCM, PCM hasn't yet so I'm guessing it's moving down the assembly line now. So yay getting close!
