Good evening Ford Drivers'.
Another slow day at work, I"m told that this is a more normal winter for deliveries not what I have experienced the last couple of winters.
Hiking a 1/2 mile up the lane from car parked at cattle guard to house with full backpack and pet carrier with two cats in it: Retrieving the car after the lane was plowed out.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 26 this morning and warming up. Wx guessers have changed their minds several times since 0600. Overcast, then snow very specifically at 0903 hrs and then change to rain - snow and finally rain snow mix.
My scientific method of weather guessing (looking out window) says overcast, no precip and warming trend as water is dripping off roof and deck from melting snow.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 33 and raining cats and dogs. Doesn’t seem to be diminishing the snow pack but has cleaned most of the roofs off.
Morning all. This white stuff is really slow to melt. We got most of the roads slushed on Friday and most of the tree issues sorta handled but there is a lot of tree work to be done. Long week for the crew and I. More work ahead us for sure.
Yesterday wife made the decision to downsize vehicles and get a Plugin hybrid. Guess we'll see how it goes and if we see any advantages to this.

How much does it cost to put a charging station in at the house? I understand those charge when braking or something like that, but on short trips I can’t see how they would self charge enough to not need the umbilical cord.
We’ve decided we need a walk behind snow blower. So I’m researching those.
You can get a 40/50amp level 2 charger for $200-500 that plugs into a 50 amp RV plug which we already have. What we have comes with a level 1 110v charger. It takes 12hrs on the level1 and 2 on the level 2. I'm not sure its worth it right now. The battery is not very big. I think its only 17kw. You'll laugh at the rig. I'm still laughing myself. I'll try and get a photo.
Morning Chris, and all to follow.
Last Thursday finally was able to cut my way off the homestead. Will be cleaning up for months, but on a positive note no firewood needed for several years.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 37 at Bravo and now sunny after a heavy rain squall that passed through around 0630.
Pretty good looking rig Rich. Be interesting to see how it performs, how far it goes on a charge and the cost per mile vs conventional.
The drive up was interesting the other day. We took the Salem-I5-58 route. All looked pretty normal as far as road condions after we got east of Rickreall. From just South of the 228 Exit down to the Colberg exit. It looked like a graveyard for Semi’s and yellow police tape. Trucks that were jackknifed and trucks that were on their sides. Down towards Coberg, 4 trucks were off the side of the off ramp parked nose to tail. Looks like the just slid sideways off the side of ramp.
Starting up 58 as far as Dexter - Lowell it looked like tornadoes had gone through the trees. A real mess for clean up cewws, both private and public.
