Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 48, overcast and 20 mph wind. Gusts to 60 that sounds like a jet landing on the roof. No power outage - yet. All of our trees are still where they are supposed to be.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Winds seem to be calming down for now. One particular tall and skinny tree was really bending and whipping around. Decided to go take a closer look, not that anything could be done. Seemed solid enough to the naked eye. No untoward cracking or snapping. Ground around the root ball area was solid. No cracks or ground movement whatsoever. Decided it was just a tall skinny tree that likes to dance.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 35 and overcast. Snow is disappearing pretty quickly. Runoff channel to the river is getting a lot of water built up in it.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Long day fighting with Home Depot - finally mostly prevailed 4 & 1/4 hours later. Then my buddy called tonight and we spent nearly 2 hours on the phone. We were finalizing plans on going to the Sportsman's Show. He also filled me on the crabbing trip. I was supposed to go crabbing with him and a Retired Chief of Police ( who is over 80 and not really in shape for it anymore.) Monday and couldn't go due to other things I had to get done here at Bravo Compound. Turned out to be a good thing. My partner fiflled me in describing it as a trip from hell.
Time for 10-7 to the horizontal position.
