Hello and welcome to July! going to be 104 here today. Bad day to volunteer for the church fireworks stand. However, I will be there from 9am until noon, and the real heat doesn't arrive until 2pm they say. Of course anything over 90 is real heat to me.
There's a sucker born every minute. Safeway gets me every time the tri tip goes on sale. 15 minutes at high heat, and it always comes out the same. Super tender, and juicy.
At 10pm last night it was still 94 degrees. right now at 4:15pm it is registering 105. My AC is on set to 74 degrees. However, it is 86 in here. I have two fans on as well and still I'm uncomfortable.
Too hot to think about cooking. I have already drank half of my only gallon of milk, and it is only7:48pm. Going to have to stock up on liquids tomorrow before church when it is coolest.
Yesterday wasn't nearly as hot. High got up to 91, but that was at 9AM and the ocean breeze kicked in and it dropped down the rest of the day. This morning we're at 72, which is a nice temp. It'll probably warm up a bit, but I'm expecting that ocean breeze to kick in again.
The other issue is that PG&E went out at midnight. They were estimating the power would return around noon, so we switched to generator at 8AM. Then surprise, surprise, the PG&E came back at 8:30.
