I've got a 2023 F-350 Lariat and am still looking for a solution to the lack of a compass on the instrument panel. I've received several over the air updates in the year that I've owned the vehicle but nothing that has added a compass. Is there a solution at this time?
If you can use ForScan, you can add it. That’s the only way other than an OTA update or having the recall done if your VIN was affected.
Mine showed up from an OTA update back in July. I have not had/needed the dash recall yet either, not sure if that affects your situation or not, but I posted about the update when it came through.
Thanks Jared. I checked this morning and the truck says that the OTAs are up to date . Do you know if there is a way to see what the previous OTAs that have been uploaded?
When I first purchased my 2023 Lariat, the compass was there. It then disappeared.
I took it to the dealer, and they replaced the IPC module under warranty, as that was one of the symptoms of it needing to be replaced. Another symptom was it showing a "Platinum" truck animation upon boot up.
Also, when I first bought the truck, I could have sworn it had a speed limit sign on the cluster, showing what the local speed limit was. That disappeared too and has never come back. My truck doesn't have adaptive cruise control, so, not sure why it showed me that but I swear it did. Might chase that down when I have time ...

I do not, sorry. That’s beyond me. I’m sure someone here knows how to find that info though.

Thanks TX 250. I've never seen a speed limit sign on the instrument cluster, just on the Google Maps when using Android Auto.

Do you have ACC? Mine still shows the speed limit in both the dash and in the HUD
Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this compass concern. Thanks!
I am trying to send a Pm regarding this issue on my 23, but I cant through the forum, there is no option to send one.

Can you help me out too with the no compass issue? I've visited several dealers and none of them have any idea how to resolve the problem.
Thanks

If you go through this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...nu-screen.html it has a TSB that will fix your lack of compass issue. It may even give you fixes for things you didn't know was wrong. I had many issues with cluster. I had to bring the truck to 2 dealers 3 visits along with copies of the TSB and almost beg to have them perform the work. I got the compass fixed, the truck stays at the screen I was on when I turned it off, I got screen choices I didn't know were available to me. It was the perfect cure all!
Read through that long involved thread and I am sure you will be happy after the work is preformed.
Now if I only could get the camera bricking when removing the tailgate issue fixed I might be happy with my truck. Almost 2 years of ownership and still having odd issues with software interfaces and the truck.

Thanks LMB (MN) for the tip on the TSB! I printed it out and made a service appointment at my local Ford dealer for next week. Fingers crossed that with the TSB info they'll finally be able to fix the problem that I've been complaining about since the bought the truck.

Hopefully that works out.... They attached the TSB to my ticket 2 weeks ago that said make an appt for 4Q 2024 if you don't get an OTA update and the guy told me to wait for the OTA update. Wayne Akers Service Dept in Lake Worth is a joke.
My service appointment is at Al Packer West, so hopefully they do what the TSB calls for and not throw their hands up in the air. I'll post the results next week after my appointment. If they fix it, then maybe you want to give Packer at try.
