I think my time as a scout in the Army makes me want to know the direction I’m traveling! My Bradley Fighting Vehicle didn’t have one and it always bothered me 🤣
Yeah I can use my phone or map, but the millisecond it takes to glance down at the instrument cluster is what I would like. Again, not a huge issue, but annoying.

Hey! I can take a closer look into your compass concerns. Can you send us a direct message with your VIN and the dealership name/location?

Old Bradley guy here too (thanks for your service!), and I agree. Truck is delivered to the dealer but I haven't taken delivery yet, but I do hope we haven't taken a step backward with the digital cluster. Seems like there's a bunch of unused real estate within the new cluster too.
Solved everybody's compass woes. I bought a Class C from an 80 year old couple and he had one of these stuck to the windshield. I never knew I would need it but I used to sometimes to orient the vehicle when camping so the sun would be on the curb side in the morning out my bedroom window.
My 2021 F-150 has same looking digital display and temp and direction are displayed on the bottom. Surely this is a SW glitch. If Ford can’t keep basic features I am never getting my KR built.

This seems a bit extreme. This forum is literally the first time ever that I've heard anyone talk about using the actual compass in a vehicle. That is more than likely why they dropped it and went with a letter designation for direction at the bottom of the display. It plays such an insignificant role in 99.9% of anyone's driving experience.
You know, once upon a time everyone started switching to digital clocks. It certainly wasn't because of a mechanical error and didn't cause vehicles to not be built due to Ford not being able to provide basic features.
This is such a weird thread. Weird because who would believe it, not me for sure. But recently I have been wondering if there was a way to get heading information vs two letter approximation on direction traveling. I guess all of those years of flying makes me want to know where I am actually heading. Just really strange I was thinking this and the thread popped up. Get out of my head Google!!!!!

I agree, the digital cluster could be so much more. The digital cluster on the new GM trucks looks to be more refined with higher resolution and more modern font/text than what Ford is using.
The fact that Ford shows features in publications and manuals but then they don't make it to production is concerning on many levels. It is a complete communication breakdown between departments that they can't even align with each other to put out accurate info. They need a CEO who actually knows what he's doing, Farley is clueless.
You might understand it with paper owners manuals that get updated only infrequently and into print even less frequently. But all the 23’s have is a digital owners manual. Both the pdf version, and html version on Ford’s site are full of errors (or we just changed our minds about including that feature). Same goes for the horrific version on the truck’s screen.
