same back and the same weather on the east coast rain gauge is holding 3 inches from over night alone 50 degs right now is this what winter is going to be?

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Up to 48° this morning. Overcast and windy. Rain started last night around 2200 and got pretty intense during the night. Let up and went to scattered showers around 0500. Wind has been gusting up all night and is currently 20 mph running SE as measured at the airbase weather station.
F18's have been up flying since daybreak and we are almost directly underneath the approach pattern. With the wind coming down the runway at 20 mph, it kind of close to flight deck Carrier conditions. 20mph would be around 17 knots.
