Since you've confirmed that the PCM is correctly seeing the TCS cycle when the button is pressed, time to see if that PID changes state when the switch is not cycled but the OD cancels in the undesired fashion.

I'll run it today with that up and watch it. Thanks!

Okay, had a bit of difficulty setting up the right PID to see what was going on not sure I had it right. I drove the truck with the program running and it eventually went into regular measured blinking on and off of the indicator light that gets mentioned on the forums.
On a side note, the truck will idle while the program boots but when it finally boots it kills the engine, I am able to start it right back up and everything seems fine.
You can check all the pids easy as pie with a NGS
You are going to want to check several pids related to the transmission. TCC Lockup, OD shift solenoid, TFT etc.
Have not pulled the trans codes yet either right?
That is where you start
The pid test just bypasses some of that provided you know what you're doing

Thanks for your help! One of the reasons I am on the forum asking questions is that I don't know exactly what I am doing. I think the FORscan app is probably adequate for what I am doing but I am an inexperienced user. There are no codes coming up at all.
If the OD lamp is flashing it should have a code in it ready to be retrieved
Flashing OD lamp essentially means OD is inoperative and the computer should want to tell you all about it
I ran the program again today. I think I have everything running properly. No DTC codes. The overdrive LED continues to blink, I stopped by the local parts store and hooked up their scanner, no codes. Sort of baffled but I am sure I must be missing something, have a wrong parameter setting....or? I have toggled between the OBD and PTC setting, Interesting note here, anytime the bluetooth and computer boot it kills the ignition. It starts right back up but thought that was interesting.
I have yet to see a parts store that can read Ford transmission codes.
It is flashing steady on/off now, when it started it was random. Since I was getting nothing with the FORscan program I thought to give it a shot at the parts store. Expectations were low.
