2004 4.2 F-150 Heritage. It started idling poorly and I noticed later on I had lost the manual climate controls (floor, panel, etc.). The forum was useful as I found threads stating to try to locate a vacuum leak. I'm a shade tree type mechanic, but I figured OK, I'll look. I found a large vacuum line had apparently just fallen off after 282,000 miles and 18 years! It's located about half way along the passenger's side under the intake. Easy to see and reattach. See the picture. Just posting to maybe help some other people. The black steel tube comes from along the firewall near the battery.
