As I stated in the OP I have a 250 Lariat Ultimate on recent order but it is basically trimmed out like a King Ranch by this point. I worry that the payload will end up being under 2500lbs, which is a no go.
At this point in the thread the information shared has made it fairly clear in regards to what payload you can expect . That is to say, you will not be under 2500lbs. Page 1 or 2 had an example of both a King Ranch and a Platinum.
Nothing beyond the weight of the options. It's not like the Ram equivalent that loses a ton of payload.
If you're not in to the tremor i'd just get a F-350. The cost difference between it and a F-250 is just a few bucks. I can't see a reason not to. Well I guess it depends on your state and if you're registration is higher. It's not here, all the same whether I get a F150 or a F450.
I like the Tremor but I have driven to many lifted trucks and jeeps to get excited about paying extra money for that stuff anymore. I just changed my order to a F350 King Ranch, so back of the line I go.
I am leaving my F150 for a larger truck because of payload capacity. The truck I currently have on order is an 2022 F250 CCSB Lariat Ultimate 7.3 3.55, and I suppose I am a little concerned that it’s payload capacity may not be as high as I hope.
Does anyone have any actual payload figures for a similar truck that can either put me at ease or force me to change my order?
F150 payload is 1689lbs and I was hoping for north of 2500lbs and closer to 3000 lbs in a F250.
I too am leaving a F150 that has 1575 lbs of payload. The new truck just arrived, so the verdict is in. Like the OP, I was hoping for north of 2500 lbs, so I’m pleased. It’s more than enough for my needs. Loaded F250 Lariat CCSB w/ 7.3 Godzilla. Full truck details in signature. To the OP, did you change your order or stay the course?

I did change my order from an F-250 Lariat to a F-350 King Ranch with the 7.3. All said and done the change cost me $1,100, which is surprising low.
On the inverse side of things, not to insult your choice, but 1,100 for a couple extra leaf springs is a lot to some.
Totally understand if needed or in a gray area of maybe needing them.
That was $1100 to move from Lariat to King Ranch as well as from an F250 to F350, so it was a little more than just a few leaf springs but I get your point. Honestly, when spending $72k for a truck, $1100 isn’t a big cost for 1500lbs more payload capacity.

Wow.
My 2018 F-150 XL CCSB (w/ STX Package), 5.0L, 2wd has a payload sticker showing 2026 lbs.
* currently waiting on a '22 F250 Lariat CCSB 7.3L FX4. Expecting a payload ~ 2800 lbs.
Ford really should publish a database that could calculate the payload with specific options selected.

The Ford Fleet calculator tool that was last available approximately a year ago was very helpful in determining payload specs for me. I used it by finding very similar equipped trucks online and entering the VIN numbers to see the payload specifications prior to ordering my 2022 F250. Not sure why they took that calculator tool away.

Totally agree on a payload chart/calculator. I don’t know all the options on your truck, but you should be on the plus side of 2800. Mine is a ‘22 F250 Lariat CCSB w/ 7.3 and I have 2850 lbs. I don’t have FX4 though.
