Been a long time lurker but my first post. Great information on here and I love to read it. Now not wanting to start another big discussion regarding the 10,000 lb rating on the F250 6.7 diesels and the differing opinions regarding a F250 with the high capacity trailer tow package is the same as a F350. I also know on paper the payload of a F250 shows it cannot handle a large pin weight. I currently have a F150 pulling a 7000 lb TT. Didn't really need a diesel but just wanted one. So I have ordered a 2017 F250 6.7 CC lariat SB with the heavy trailer package. I am expecting the payload to be around 2200 lbs. I know that number is probably low due to the 10,000 lb rating. My wife and I happened to stop by the local Grand Design dealer and she fell in love with the 337 FW model. Dry wt is 10,570 lbs, gross wt is 14,000 lbs. Now my options are (1) drive the TT I have with the new F250 and not have a happy wife, (2) buy the 337 and hope my new F250 can handle it, (3) see if I can convince the Ford dealer to let me change the order and get a F350, (4) or look for a smaller different FW. Advice?
Add some Sumosprings and go for it. You will be less over than many I have seen. Seems the Reflection series has gotten heavier since I first looked at them. BTW, the 303 may be the most popular of the series with the 337 a close second. The 303 is well within your capabilities. The 327RST would be my choice, not for weight savings, but for being under 35'.
Call your dealer. They should be fine with a new order for an F350. I changed my mind about color a week after I ordered and they just submitted a new order for me and put the other on the lot for stock. Keeping the wife happy outweighs everything else.

An HD 250 is more than enough for that trailer. There no debate on the 2017 HD 250 vs. the SRW 350. They are identical but for a slightly lower rated main spring pack in the rear. The 250 is just derated on paper to stay under the class 2 threshold. I'd feel VERY comfortable towing the RV in question with either.

Karl4Cat, I have followed your discussion on this before. It makes sense, same engine, same frame, same wheels, and when you go with the HD towing, same transmission? It is confusing why Ford does not inform people about this.

Yes, when you get the 6.7, it's always the same trans no matter if it's in the 250, 350, or 450. Only the 250 gasser get's the new Torkshift G. You also get the new DANA M275 rear axle with the HD 250 just like the SRW 350. Like I said, it's the same truck but for the main spring pack in the rear which is sprung just ever so slightly softer. However, for the pin of the trailer you're looking at, the HD250 will be matched up very nicely.
I tow a 14k or so 5er. You won't have any issues with your new F250 with the trailer package.
Also, get the new fifth wheel, make your wife smile and always remember "Happy Wife, Happy Life".
