Soler Performance Bluetooth Throttle Controller, Huge Improvement, Inexpensive, Advanced!

The only thing I didn’t like about my 2022 F-250 7.3 FX4 was the lazy, sluggish throttle response.

Read a few threads and posts that mentioned the Banks Power throttle controller. But didn’t like Banks’ design, price, the units/modules themselves and having it plugged into the OBD2 port, messy.

I’ve had a Soler Performance throttle controller on my 2017 Corvette for over 3 years. Which plugs directly into the gas pedal connector, out of sight, very clean.

So I went on the Soler Performance website and found that they have a Bluetooth and/or manually controlled throttle controller that plugs directly into the gas pedal connector. That can either be controlled from the display unit or from the Soler Performance App on your smartphone for $189.

Received it yesterday. Installation was quick, clean and easy. Huge improvement in throttle response and driveability. The display/control unit looks great on the dash and controlling it from the App is a nice option if you don’t want to dash mount the display/controll unit.

Totally happy with the truck now. So much easier and more fun to drive. Best Mod Ever, Totally woke up Godzilla!!!

Here’s the link to the Soler Performance website…

Your posts sound an awful lot like a salesman touting a product versus an actual customer review. Again if you haven’t used one, you cannot compare fairly no matter what you assume or read about the second product. Maybe it does plug into the OBDII port. That does not gauge the performance aspect, the throttle response timing/the main goal, nor any other of a multitude of parameters. What you’re comparing is mostly related to personal preferences.

I have no stake in the game and think both sound like good products, but you can come down from your high horse now.

Did you look at the Pedal Commander? It plugs in to the throttle assembly also. I had one on my 2017. I agree, anything that has to stay plugged in to the OBD2 port to function is a no-go with me.

Why would you buy that for $349.99, instead of the Soler Performance for $189? It doesn’t even look good. The Soler has 64 possible settings compared to only 36.

It ends up being $250 after discounts. I was simply asking for comparison reasons, not saying one is better over the other. And honestly having 64 settings is silly😂. I used maybe 3 when I had mine at first but after a few weeks I never touched it again.

The only discount I see is for $75 off of the $349.99, that brings the cost to $275. Why would someone spend $86 more for an inferior product?

In the site's description of the unit there is a throttle lock mode listed. That's interesting... It's the 10th mode listed, but I don't see it on what appears to be a picture of the bluetooth app's screen. Have you encountered a lock mode? If so, where is it accessed from?

I wonder if there are production variations in the Super Duties in this regard. My 7.3 is quite aggressive on throttle input.

You should call Mike the owner of Soler Performance about that. Super nice guy!

Looks like from the 'Settings' menu.

Perhaps it’s because of your 4.3 axle ratio, I have the 3.55’s.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I was considering some type of pedal enhancement.

You will only wish you installed this sooner like me.

This simple inexpensive device has completely transformed the driving characteristics of my truck. It felt very lazy, sluggish and unexciting to drive before. It’s the complete opposite now even with my 3.55 gears.

I placed my order. Mine is the 7.3 / 4.30 and I have some tunes that I can run, but still is too sluggish sometimes, almost dangerously so.
