The selling point of the Banks unit is that it uses the OBD port for power, and not the gas pedal circuit. They claim if the an aftermarket pedal unit getting power from the pedal circuit had a problem, you can lose your gas pedal entirely. I'm not an automotive electrical engineer, so I can't say if that is true or not.
If that were ever to happen you could easily disconnect the device and directly reconnect the pedal to the factory connector.
Ok, now with that said bring on more of the personal attacks.

This is what I got from watching the Banks videos too. And if it’s true, it’s not as simple as just disconnecting and reconnecting stuff if your pulling onto the interstate and the pedal dies because the devices demanding more power than can be had. He does a better job at explaining things than I do in the video… And maybe it’s just a “selling point” but if it’s true, the safety bit sure sounds like a good idea, and this comes from plugging into the OBD port instead of just the pedal. Supposedly, the Banks returns the reverse back to stock mode in real time too, which some of the others must not… Also, if it plugs in anything like my iDash does, you can’t even see it plugged in so there no wires going all over.
But, I have none of these, and no plan to get one soon, but the Pedal Monster is number 1 on my list… for the safety reasons mentioned above, and because it would interact with my iDash that I already have…

If this is true, the time tested and proven “Pedal Commander” which connects the same way as Soler’s is suspect too.
It’s worked trouble free in my and many others corvettes. I’ve never heard of this happening.
While I didn't get into detail, that is what I was referring to in my earlier post. The Banks unit is often compared against the Pedal Commander, and throughout numerous discussions that rare but possible negative is what is often brought up against the PC.

every single post of yours is sarcastic and defensive. That’s why you’re getting you ***** busted.
I bought the banks because it’s the only one I really knew about. Works great. Connects to app every time. I played with the levels City and sport. Ended up on three bars in city and haven’t touched it. Had I know this other existed, and worked well, I would have bought it because it cost less and installs cleaner. It doesn’t need more that maybe 5 modes/curves for me. Just a little more lively and I was happy.

That’s your opinion and I respect it. I don’t let my feelings get involved in this nonsense. To me this is purely a objective thread about throttle controller options. People have made negative comments and I have replied in turn. Should I not have? Your comment is also negative and subjective in my opinion.
So, did a bit of google-fu to try and find more info/reviews on the Soler unit and found some stuff on a Mustang site. One of which was a current discount code from here:
Figured what the hell, for $125 I'd give it a shot. Added to cart, entered vehicle info, entered code, price dropped $65, added shipping and done.
Should arrive within a week or so with the holiday, chose the 1-3 day ship. Not sure when I will install it yet as it is cold as heck right now, but will get it done soon.
I know it say it helps with the delay, I'm hoping it helps with the random dead pedal. Seems to happen most if I come to a stop and then have to hit the gas and go again.

You have nothing to lose except the dead pedal. If you’re unhappy with it I’m sure Soler will give you a full refund and send you a return shipping label.
I have the Banks and have been very happy with it. You can't see any wires unless you're laying on your back looking up under the dash area. Banks has been around awhile and is a very trusted name in the industry is one of the reasons I went with it. The fact that it reverts back to stock when in reverse and the pedal will still work if the pedal circuit loses power was even more reason to buy. I hope you like the soler and don't have any problems out of it. But as others have already mentioned, your post are very defensive and honestly uncalled for. You sound like a real friendly fella to be around. Honestly, I think the only things we would agree on is super duties rock.

You will only wish you installed this sooner like me.
This simple inexpensive device has completely transformed the driving characteristics of my truck. It felt very lazy, sluggish and unexciting to drive before. It’s the complete opposite now even with my 3.55 gears.
Your one year newer than me, same powertrain setup. My truck does not feel lazy or sluggish at all, it's right there when I want it. The only problem I have is some times from a stop or under say 5 mph if you mash it you can't count on it. I think I am so used to the wire system it has become instinct to pedal the throttle if I have to pull out quick. I could be wrong but I can remember that back to my 89 truck and all until then. You sure are a supporter of this brand. I have no experience with external software plugins controlling the signal for the throttle. It's pretty cheap money and painless. Sounds like a raging review of Soler Performance, thanks. My quick look at OBD port plug in is it does give the software a lot of data that could help, and a separate power supply rather than powered by the throttle circuits power.
Anyhow thanks to your good article and illustrations I will research Banks and Soler and get one because that lag and pedaling from stop sucks. Now come on...... Mike cut you a check.......right.
