I thought (I should stop doing my own thinking) the gray would look better than the silver.
Every time I looked at it the gray just didn't look quite right.

So today it was back to Home Depot for a can of Rustoleum Hammered Silver.
The gray is on the left and the silver on the right.

And the silver got the win.

My truck is 46 years old today. It rolled off the San Jose, CA assembly line one day early on 5/10/76.

Looks good for that age considering a majority have succumbed to the crusher. Wonder what 46 in truck years equals in human years.

Three weeks ago I was in Salt Lake for one of my treatments. While visiting with my doctor he reminded me of me next appointment, May 10th.
I chuckled and told him that was my trucks birthday.

So when I was there Tuesday my doctors nurse sais they had something for me and handed me this card.

Yep, a birthday card for my truck signed by my doctor, his nurse and their technician.

I've probably got the only truck that has ever received a birthday card.

Fix Or Repair Daily

Today's projects.
Power steering pressure and retune lines. I should have the two for the ram later today.
Both motor mounts. Transmission mount. Oil pressure sending unit.
Oil and filter change. Switching over to 20w50 to see if it slows down the oil consumption.
I doubt that it will but hey, what the hell?

While I was working on replacing the PS hoses, and its not going well - I noticed that the radiator is leaking too.
I'm guessing that the heater core isn't in much better shape.

The new hoses are a bit longer than the ones I took off and I'm having troubles trying to figure out how they go.

This is what I ordered. An all aluminum 3-row radiator.
Should be here Monday.

I'm looking forward to the day that I find something that isn't worn out and needs to be replaced.

I have started looking for a decent rebuildable 390.

Said the guy that only spent 800 on the initial investment. Lol The day will come, once you have replaced every thing that is worn out and needs replaced. Hang in there, that day is around the next corner or maybe it is 2 corners then a big hill, followed by a blind curve... and then over that bridge.
