I don't want to rain on your parade, or take anything from this thread and what you have overcome and accomplished. Truly impressive and inspiring to us all, but I'd feel rotten if I kept my mouth shut, and something bad happened, so here goes....
When I saw the photos of the 390 coming out and the 410 going in I was surprised at the oil pans. When Ford installed the 360 in the F-250 4x4, they used a rear sump oil pan, not a front sump design like those in your pictures. The reason is to have more clearance for the oil pan from the front differential. It's not just the pan that's different, the oil pickup tube is different, and one of the main bearing cap bolts is replaced with a stud with nut to tighten, as well as a threaded extension for the oil pickup tube's support bracket. Then another nut to secure that tab. The dipstick tube and dipstick are also different IIRC, and the oil capacity is increased over the front sump pan.
I realize you just got everything bolted in, and of course it's your decision which way you want to go, but I did want you to be aware of a potential problem with the front sump oil pan.
Please take my post in the spirit it's intended; that of concern and hopefully help, and not criticism in any way.

It was taken in the spirit intended and thank you very much. No rain at all.
I knew they had rear sump pans and I looked at it hard, really hard.
I don't know it the 390's pan is shallower than the original 360s but I can't imaging the front diff hitting the pan.
The one that came on the 410 is deeper than the 390's but it had been welded on quite a bit and didn't have a baffle in it.
I may change it down the road if it starts to be a concern to me.

Thank you, I do appreciate you jumping in.

My ‘73 has a front sump pan from a car. No Clearance issues!
I actually don't like doing this kind of work at all. I did quite a bit of it in my younger years but this is not enjoyable at all.
I can relate to your above comment, and I can relate to your annoyance at having to look at the clutch etc in order to fire up the Four 10.
But ! You didn't earn the title of Dr Truck Oncologist for nothing, and I reckon once you dive into it again, you'll be motivated by the excitement/anticipation of completing the project.
And by the way, Doc, from what I've seen in this thread, you're still in your younger years.
Thank you for the comments, I really do appreciate all of them. A lot.
I was going to pull the engine yesterday when I got an early phone call asking it I wanted to go out with a film crew that is working on a Paiute Trail promotional video so I bagged working on the truck and went along.
I don't know if any of you has ever heard of the Paiute Trail, its the largest ATV trail in North America and I live right in the center of it.
The Paiute Trail Committee, a non-profit organization raises money to help maintain the trail. We supply the Forest Service with tools, equipment, supplies and volunteer labor.
Over the years we have raised and invested over $250,000 in the trail system.
The Committed hired a film crew to make 8 videos 4 highlighting safety and trail etiquette and 4 about different rides to enjoy. Today is the last day of filming. The name of the film crew is Road Tripping with Bob and Mark.
The gentleman with the white beard is one of my closest friends. The other gentleman is Mark with Road Tripping.
Imagine if the ol truck was up and running and made its "screen debut", it would be famous on film. But that ride along movie making stuff sound like fun, way more fun than pulling a engine out a truck.
I have to go back to work in the morning and I work out of town so next Tuesday will be the first chance I get.
Do not use those words to try and scare me. Lol I have " worked" my fair share and I have "worked" way more than my fair share out of town....and out of country.
I am going to try and get the 410 finished up Tuesday.
Long term goals,
1. AC
2. New ring/pinion and a Detroit Locker for the rear. The ring gear is pitted, most likely from water intrusion.
3. Detroit Locker for the front.
4. Enjoy.
