I'm with you Blue. I hope that Ford does the right thing here and actually makes a feature that was touted and described in the owners manual available to 2022 owners. We've always been a ford family but here of late, I've really started losing my trust in Ford to do what's right for their customers. Time will tell in that I really hope they make an effort to win us all back, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
I spent about a half hour on the phone explaining the feature to the guy at the consumer affairs dept. I think he understood, but after putting me on hold several times while he investigated this he asked me to go out to the truck and turn on the Nav. system. Unfortunately when I did I moved too far from the home WIFI and the phone hung up. Christ! That was after trying to use their chat function, imputing all my info, and then having Ford say "thank you for using chat" and terminating the connection. I guess they really want to **** people off.
I worked for a car company once that listed "25 spoke alloy wheels" on the Monroney label. An attorney bought one of the cars, then contacted our Consumer Affairs Dept. He said his car had 4 spoked wheels that were very nice, but he wanted the other 21 that he was promised.
To make a very long story short it was decided it was best to pay him the value of the 21 wheels and then change all the Monroney labels going forward to say something like "Four alloy road wheels featuring 25 spokes each".

Same here, an RV/Truck add-on would make me reconsider paying for the Ford navigation. what would be really great would be to have the features that Hyundai has in their nav system combined with RV Trip Wizard. But, until then it's navigation using the phone.
Question - is there a way to disable the Ford nav app and put something else in it's place? If I cant use it I don't want to see it. It makes me shiver that Ford is so ... cheap considering it's an 80K truck!!!

Hyundai sucks. You have to pay the subscription to BlueLink to be able to use your remote start which is a separate option you have to pay for anyways. I wouldn't want anything Hyundai is making. I also don't support any monthly fee services. They are a sham way for the company to make more money from features they could just offer for 1 price when you order.
I bought a Garmin RV GPS and it does everything I want and cost me a one time fee. It also has an app that updates and is free. Yes it is a separate screen that attaches to my humongous front windshield. That is the only negative I have to say about it but I would refuse to pay for a subscription based service anyways.
Why should we be paying subscription fees for anything?
For the remote feature, yes, but I can update the navigation for free and it works without a prescription better than it did in the F250 during the trial period. in our F250 navigation is totally useless - unless you pay every year and as i was just told that the trailer towing feature is only available in the F150. Garmin only charges when you buy it and you get free updates
Has anyone had any success getting more info on this? I'm late to the party, bought a 22 350 about a month ago. When I bought the truck the button was there but I couldn't enter trailer info. A week or so later it was gone.
I have not heard anything. I let my subscription drop and I'm not willing to pay for the subscription just to see if trailer navigation works; I doubt it will. Using Android Auto now.

Google led me here.
I’ve continued with the navigation subscription but as of last week when I checked - the feature was not available in my 2022 F350 Lariat Ultimate. I’ve come to rely on my Garmin RV 780 instead when towing my 5th Wheel RV.

Same here. I'm not paying for the service unless it has nav w/ towing.

Same. I have some amount of time included from the purchase of the truck. If they don't add this feature I have no plans to renew, android auto works just fine.

Thanks for the update on the nav functionality RDavis. I'm using the same Garmin and Apple Maps, but I like a clean dash so I'd probably ditch the Garmin and buy Ford's subscription if they add the trailer specific feature. Supposedly it's going to be there in the 23's, but I don't think anyone has one yet.
I am subscribing to the Ford navigation simply for the fact that I don't like having the nav screen without it functioning.
What I am wondering about all you guys that are so desperate to have the trailer towing option is, do you all really think it is going to be that good???
The nav, as it stands in my truck, is the most basic nav system, hardly any features compared to any dash top aftermarket nav device.
It really sucks, no ability to save routes, no ability to get alternate routing, no alternate routing for traffic delays, and what traffic delay messages you do get have ZERO info, no 3D mapping that shows terrain or buildings(even though they claim that feature), all things that even the most basic aftermarket nav devices have.
So, I can't imagine that if and when they get trailer towing routing added to the Ford nav system, that it will be very good.

Interesting feedback, thanks for sharing! My two reasons for considering the Ford system are Sync 4 screen integration and functionality with no cell signal. What you're describing makes me think the separate Garmin isn't so bad after all. Perhaps the perfect solution would be to take the train, which requires no thinking or planning at all!
