Draining torque converter fluid
My 01 Excursion V10 has a torque converter drain plug and I just bought some Mercon V to do a fluid change. The tranny fluid change is simple enough but I am confused about the TC. If I drain the torque converter, how do I fill it back up?

You fill the torque converter through the transmission dipstick tube.
Drain the pan and the torque converter. Add 12 quarts through the dipstick tube. Start the engine and run for 60 seconds, no longer. Then shut it off and add three more quarts. Start the engine again, warm the trans up, and check the level.
