B&W Turnover VS OEM Gooseball
Going to build to order a retirement 5tth wheel pulling truck in the next year or two. Going to use the gooseneck type pin boxes to have a clean bed when not pulling.
Trying to decide between ordering the truck with the prep package or having the B&W turnover install after. Anybody had both and have opinions on one verses the other, or just have an opinion
Thanks

If you take care of your stuff- grease your B&W shank and trailer ball (s) like you are supposed too you wouldn't have trouble.
I have had B&W turnover ***** in many trucks and never an issue. Get a 6 3/4' bed truck and the B&W extended ball and a Goosebox and be happy.
Happy Retirement!!

I’ve had both. I installed the Turnover ball on my previous ‘17 F350 and the ‘20 F450 came with the factory prep. Both work just fine, but I prefer the factory prep since it comes that way and it’s a cleaner install. The Turnover install wasn’t bad, just a PITA if you don’t pull the bed off. I use the B&W OEM goose ball and chain hooks with the factory prep and like them.

the turnover ball can get welded into place very easy during normal driving (road debris and junk). Can be a pain to get it out (ive seen and had to use a crowbar) get the factory pucks and be happier, they both do the same thing, but removing that ball when finished is a lot easier then turning it over and leaving it to be exposed to the elements.
