WTF?!!! How fast was buddy going before rear ending the UPS truck?!!!
I'd guess 35 MPH or so---today's cars wrinkle up pretty badly by design---its to better protect the occupants.
IMHO assuming there's no huge personal body damage I couldn't care less how badly one of those text messaging dimwits vehicles are damaged. I empathize with the struck vehicle owner but the moron who caused the accident----who really cares?
A guy with a face mask is leaning up against the outer wall of a Wells Fargo bank.
A police officer comes and says, "What are you doing?"
I'm holding up this bank," the man says.
"Very funny. Now move along."
The man walks away, and the bank wall collapses
A girl and a guy have sex once in the dark and
they both agreed to use protection. A few months later she finds out she’s pregnant She asks him if he used a condom that night they had sex,
and he says “no” She replies “but we agreed to use protection”, and he replies
“I did, I wore a face mask”

I remember reading Heinlein many years ago (one of the short stories in Expanded Universe, I think) and he posited that everything would run on tiny atomic power plants, even watches.
He was a awesome Science Fiction writer back then. His ships could travel around the speed of light. and a Tiger wanted to eat Krill & could walk thru walls and didn't know how to fly a life boat.
I grew up about 20 miles from there and drove by that pit often. Never saw into the pit, but the man-made mountain of sand that was neatly piled and groomed around the pit made quite the impression even 50 years ago. The sand was so devoid of nutrients that it took decades for enough dirt, sand, bird droppings, etc to land on it that even weeds would grow.
They have a mess. Pumping the pond into the gulf isn't ideal, but if they don't they could well have all of it in the gulf in a matter of hours.
↑ Saw a large Pond by a Daugh-pont plant, it later was found polluted also. 4000 tons of liquid Cellophane
Daugh-Pont, which once made the toxic "forever chemicals" known as PFAS, has spun off its liabilities to smaller firms that would struggle to pay out in lawsuits.
Spotted that on line.
But since getting back to normal Dousche's is the thread !
