Tuning issues
Since I am bouncing back and forth, today I did take oppertunity to load up 2 adjustments that AA sent. They are much better, still some adjustment needed, but a very good improvement. AA has been top notch to work with. I am amazed at how much time he has taken to continue dialing in my headache of a truck. At the end of it when it is all good to go, I know I will owe him a great deal more then he will charge. Hopefully this will give him some good insight for the future if he ever gets another truck that wont run the "normal" tunes.
Jon at DTC got back with me, he no longer does tuning(since like 2013), but he sent me 5 files from years past to cover most driving needs. He said if they work that is excellent, if they don't then I do not need to pay him for the files. He is a great guy to do business with. I was very impressed with the fact he sent me a test file to verify it wasnt his parts, or possibly the injectors. Then to send me files that should work, even though he no longer tunes was even more impressive. He definately knows how to take are of customers. I am grateful for his help.
The truck can wait and it most certainly will!
Good on AA for taking care of you to the best of his ability and hopefully he can get your adjustments sorted out.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
The the test tune that DTC sent didnt cause the issue I had been having, but some of the other files he sent to try did...
AA has gotten it closer.
One thing I came across while searching for file options on tital unlock for FordTruckNoob, one set of files(pic below) had vb option, jut said stage 1 singles, but no nozzle size stated, this is hard cause some stage 1 listing they have are for 180/30.
There are also no 205/80 files, sorry noob. Was 200/30 and 200/100.
My disgust with Titan unlock basically increases, not much option, and zero help if you call. Just told to go to another tuner. Oh well helps with diagnostics to some extent I guess.
I am willing to look things up to help save other members from wasting money.
I am interested in what the PHP Titan Unlock pack provides for a ZF6 truck that normally runs the VOAA7P6 calibrations for OEM injectors as seen below, but for 160/0 or 160/30 injectors. I am still on the fence about going with new Alliant AC 160/0 or BDP 160/30 or just getting fresh AD 140/0 injectors when the time comes.
I have zero complaints about the current OEM/AD 140/0 injectors I am running and don't want to "fix something until it is broke" by going with AC 160/0 or 160/30 injectors. I have a set of core injectors in my garage waiting and itching to be sent out and I am running out of PMS check boxes to tick off.
Thanks Eric, and I hope Clayton is feeling better this week.
We have the tunes available for VOAA7P6. We have them for Stage 1 and Stage 1.5. So, he’d be good to go on the 160/0 or 160/30s. No problem. Just make sure he doesn’t have an aftermarket HPOP.
I am very interested in the hope there isnt an aftermarket hpop comment. What the heck would that have to do with it. If the tune is written for a stock hpop and calls for x oil pressure, what the heck does it matter if it is a bosh, cncfab, adrenaline, or terminator. All will supply the exact same called for oil, with some being able to keep up with more demanding tunes then others, the oem pump being the least capable.
What happend to php, say they cant do vb tunes(stock line pressures) and now dont want anything but oem hpop.... Seems like they are headed out of the want to tume game
