This is how I can see getting a "billion" dollars invested in tunes.....and still not be happy.
Well I am not quite to a billion yet .
Some of the cost I had to deal with was due to having revisions made as my build progressed. Either way, I won't give up until I have it exacly how I want it.
Loaded up the fillowing vraa6s3 tunes from the Titan unlock library for my nvk5 pcm
180/30. 80 daily
180/30. 80 performance
160/30. 80 daily
160/30. 80 performance
Not sure if I will see a difference between the 160/30 and 180/30 but may as well try.
Really wish they had vb tunes like the regular php hydra library. Maybe I will call and ask for it...again....
Modified injectors are on the edge of the capabilities. VB and modified injectors are a no go as they will need to be retuned most of the time.
I guess I dont make the connection between why going from 140 splits to 160 single has anything to do with a vb and commanded shift pressures. Then again I have always had a zf6 until now so I am slightly dumb when it comes to trans tuning.
It also makes no sense to me. "Valve body" tuning always meant just returning all of the transmission parameters (except shift points) back to stock.
I'm spitballing here but thinking that MAYBE you should try VHAE9J2 tuning. It won't hurt anything unless you've removed the external barometric pressure sensor from the harness but I am sure you still have to use it since that's a BIG hardware change inside the PCM. I've been skeptical of your reflashed PCM for a few days especially since the calibration file has the data needed to determine where the BARO comes from. Not saying it can't be "dug out" of the E99 code and put into the internal baro calibration but that would take some digging.
I will divulge that the reason behind this suggestion is because of all of the important mapping between the two PCM families has a different base multiplier and will affect pulse width and RPM calculations primarily. Another flag on the PCM reflash is thst you never mentioned any tachometer/data stream RPM deviation.

I do still have the external baro, DTC did not install an internal one.
I will see if I have VHAE9J2 as a file option on titan unlock. Is it a dcp402 e99 platform?(Edit: see that is the code for my original xle4)
As far as rpm deviation. The tach stays steady, it does read about 100 rpm off of what my insight cts2 does. The cts2 shows the rpms bouncing as the pw and icp do when it is coasting.
I really appreciate the help I have been recieving. I have a lot of time and money in this truck and to be hung up on this one issue so long is a bit frustrating. I look foreward to having the issue solved.
Maybe tomorrow I will give Jon at DTC a call and see what he thinks as far as his pcm "conversion"
Maybe this is why the PHP tunes, as well as Jelibuilt tunes wanted to shift into 4th at like 35mph?
they always wanted to keep my rpms at like 1300.
I have an idea that the 4.30 gears and stock 32" tires may have accentuated this as well(though I told Brian I had the gears)
