Finally got around to doing the body filler and priming. Along the way I installed the mirror brackets for the GM mirrors from OBS Solutions. I know they’re controversial, but I love them. To each his own. Body work has begun. This thing has been painted on a few times apparently. Stitched in the mirror brackets. Did my best to bondo and prime them in to look factory. Quick primer coat. Shocks were absolutely roached out. Went with Bilstein 5100’s. So far I love them. Replaced the leaking rear tank. Tank is in place and fits as it should.
Got the truck painted and tow mirrors installed. If anyone needs a picture of the wiring setup to make the mirrors work, let me know.
I went with Nardo Grey from Speedokote. I love it. First time ever painting. So take it easy on me. I used an LVLP paint gun because I don’t have a huge compressor. I went with a two stage paint. I’m happy with it. It’s got it’s imperfections, but I did it and it’s good enough for me.
