I’ll be posting on this thread over the next few days trying to catch up on everything I’ve done so far to Red. I should’ve started it sooner, but I plan on doing plenty more to it over the years. Anyway:
This is Red. I picked it up just over a year ago and it has some serious cosmetic issues but ran okay. Motor seemed fairly strong. Bone stock but a former work truck and hunting truck, so it’s been used hard but appeared to be maintained well.

Reason: Bought a donor that became the build truck.
Gutting the interior so that I could drill holes for the new seat mounts Replacing that infamous cracked dash pad. Driver’s seat and carpet installed. Huge difference in comfort.
A solid start to your build! I need to fix a couple dash cracks in the same spot. I should probably gut my interior and clean it up.
I'm still occasionally finding random wire bundles and hack wiring that was added by the prior owner.
The random abandoned wiring is such a headache haha! I’ve got an old CB radio wire I cut out, old unused EGT gauge wiring, and some random wiring with crimps just hanging around. So I feel you on this one haha
Next I got into doing the intercooler install. This mod went fairly easily, until.... Until I cut my radiator while I was cutting my radiator core support for my driver’s side charge pipe. I had a few choice words to say about that one..haha. This is completely buttoned up with the exception of the new radiator. Mishimoto radiator was excellent and easy to install! I think it looks better than the stock one anyway. Don’t forget to register yours for your warranty like I did.
Ha! I've had mine for 7-8 years, think its to late to register mine? lol
I looked into it last night, looks like you just need the receipt and the serial number to register for warranty. Im assuming the serial number is on the side though, I dont recall seeing it on the top or bottom.

Thanks for checking on this! I feel better knowing it’s not too late!
Pulled the turbo and got the old plumbing out. Started running lines until... I got the wrong fitting from Irate Diesel coming out of the regulator. Good news is that Irate is awesome and sent the right fitting priority mail and it worked great. Threw the turbo back in and wired up the pump at the frame rail. Install complete. So nice having a constant 65psi of fuel pressure to feed these injectors.
