Ford used a low grade and poor impact plastic for those markers. I went to the paint protection shop and had the marker lights covered with strips of X-Pel and so far so good. The real test will be when I get back to work and travelling all gravel roads that has a lot of heavy traffic. Hopefully the film helps.
Well, I will give up the man hunt and chock it up to a rock. Did you do the replacement yourself?

All finished with the regen clinic?? LOL

Luckily the dealer didn’t charge me labour to do the first replacement because my truck was in for other warranty work. The second one, I didn’t have much time to replace it so I had the dealer do it again. The second time they charged me for labour. It seems that whenever I come back from work, my truck is in at the dealer because every time they do warranty work, they damage something that they need to replace. The repair doesn’t look too hard. I found a video on tube about how to remove the glass but it does look like you need some patience so you don’t break the clips.

Hopefully the DPF thread gets buried and forgotten. Lol

Im pretty sure the D stands for Dumbarse. I keep getting into those thread and expecting a different result. Damn, reminds me of the definition of insanity. 😂 On a powerstroke forum, the battle lasted a few days with one guy. He was clueless but I got to give him credit, he didn’t back down.

Much of what we know of how a regen works is solely from observations. The regen is a black box that we cannot see into to understand it's inner workings. Observations can only take us so far and can often be misinterpreted. Even though I have the DPF % screen up, I often miss that a regen is ongoing until it's almost complete. When that happens I feel the need to watch it, just to determine if it's going up or going down.

Well my pretty orange machine arrived at the dealers. Lot of bits to assemble and I hinted to my sales rep it sure would be nice to have it next week.

I own both. I picked up the chipper at an online auction. Got it super cheap. I mean REAL cheap. Got lucky on it, brought it home (6 hours away), changed fluids & she fired right up & runs great. Only 400 hours on it.

Nice score then. It's more if a want than a need for me. I would need one for a few days and then probably not use one for a long time.

These new systems are so much better than back in 2008. I used to turn off auto regen and watch it like a hawk. Now, I just forget about it and let it do it’s thing....Maybe once in a while I take a peek at the screen. There is a lot of misconceptions out there and that’s because it is a complicated system....... ok, I’m done 😂

We've got 17 acres, and its 75% wooded. Also burn wood in winter for a small fireplace.
we are all the time cutting, thinning out. Etc. We rented one once for $250 a day. It's so nice to chop it up & be done. No hauling to a burn pile etc.etc. cut our tree work into 3rds.
