General Nonsense Thread

Friday nights, hell, just about any night. I've had a crew over on the lot I bought next door grading and getting it ready for us to store materials on. First it was graded and compacted with a vibratory compactor. Then they put down 6" of road base and 2" of asphalt millings. This was compacted all during the layering and grading process. Next they dressed the perimeter and tomorrow we'll get top soil around the perimeter and they'll seed that. I think we'll end up with about 2/3 of the acre stabilized where we can store materials on it. The rest we can store our trailers on. Hopefully we can have it fenced in by this weekend. We are in a cul-de-sac and judging by the black marks, it's pretty popular with some kids doing burnouts and donuts. If one of those bartstards decided to do that on my lot I would be super pissed to say the least. I have 8 cameras around my shop but I don't think any of them would pick up that far. I may get some trail cams to put up over there until we can get something more permanent. I have a drone shot from the property appraiser I can put up if you want to see the place. Close to being done with it, hoping we can get it closed off before the weekend.

I really felt kinda bad, because Scag's hit 1K posts today, and it would have been really cool to see him hit 1K twice in the same day.
However... why just hand it to him?
We gotta make him earn it.
Where are his priorities anyway?
Notice he says "mowing, checking thread."
When it really should be "checking thread, mowing."
I figured he'd get the message better this way. The sting may linger long enough for him to snipe 2K, which is my namesake. Give him something to look forward to taking back from me.
Nice job on the Uber take down boys. Who let the dogs out anyway? You guys are quick. That poor poster was chewed up and gone before I knew what happened. I was just passing by the thread cemetery on my way to the mod saloon, and noticed a fresh mound of dirt, so I stopped and read the headstone. "Here Lies Passin4 who passed away today after a very short 1 post career spamming FTE". So when I got to the saloon I picked up the freshly printed news print and read the story about the Covid boys pit bulling the guy to the ground and holding him there until a mod could come along and remove the carcass. Nice.
I'm going to mosey along back upstairs to the boring sections now.

I predicted something to the effect that the economy was strong at the start of Covid-19 and it (using the stock market as the reference) would bounce back by _____. I don't remember what timeframe I said. It was either the election or the end of the year.

Im 2hrs behind ya and the wife is pissed. She wants to continue watching homeland but doesn’t want me to miss out. I might have to head to the bedroom soon. Hockey sticks and beavers Scags. We’ve talked about this. 😂

Skags, you're a hunter. What's your recommendation for a good quality trail cam? I need some immediate security on my new lot but don't have any electricity over there yet. We'll be storing materials on it and I would like to place some cameras around to monitor the place when we aren't there. My nephew has some that will send a pic to your phone when it's triggered. He showed me a picture of a buck, and hogs, 'coons, and other assorted varmints, at his food plot. It was a little grainy so I would need something with some pretty good nighttime resolution. There are streetlights on the front side and the lights in my yard light it up on another side, but it's pretty dark on the back side.
