Im 2hrs behind ya and the wife is pissed. She wants to continue watching homeland but doesn’t want me to miss out. I might have to head to the bedroom soon. Hockey sticks and beavers Scags. We’ve talked about this. 😂
yeah we have. Ok dudes this has been a hell of a day. Lurking, Y2K showing up, that shows no hard feelings, some things just gotta be. We're all still in it to win it. Ya'll mowed with me today, I had a good day at FTE.
I have a Moultrie trail camera. It hasn't caught much actual game for me, but that's mostly because I'm still learning how to place it properly. That and the area I hunt doesn't have much game, or the game is really shy. Otherwise, it's easy to use. It can be connected to an external battery, like a 12v car battery.
Skags, you're a hunter. What's your recommendation for a good quality trail cam? I need some immediate security on my new lot but don't have any electricity over there yet. We'll be storing materials on it and I would like to place some cameras around to monitor the place when we aren't there. My nephew has some that will send a pic to your phone when it's triggered. He showed me a picture of a buck, and hogs, 'coons, and other assorted varmints, at his food plot. It was a little grainy so I would need something with some pretty good nighttime resolution. There are streetlights on the front side and the lights in my yard light it up on another side, but it's pretty dark on the back side.
just saw this Bushnell Core DS No Glow....
and Snyper
I predicted something to the effect that the economy was strong at the start of Covid-19 and it (using the stock market as the reference) would bounce back by _____. I don't remember what timeframe I said. It was either the election or the end of the year.
I was talking to my banker neighbour at the lake this weekend. She’s pretty high up at a big Canadian bank and only deals with people that have 3 million net worth or more. She warned me that their predictions are calling for another drop in the coming months. From there it will be a slow rise back. But, if that bank actually knew what they were doing, I’d have bigger returns every year.
It’s almost like Covid has been forgotten since people are out and about and socializing but we haven’t seen the true impact in either country. The expected retail stores closures are expected to be in the thousands up here. These are jobs that are hard to replace. I hope everything keeps on trucking and these mom and pop shops can tread the rough tides and come out as clean as a unicorn fart. Restaurants are open here but running at 50% occupancy. There are millions of wait staff that haven’t gone back to work due to the restrictions. Many won’t survive at 50% occupancy if it lasts a few months.
Our 2 bigger cities in my province are building up temporary hospitals in existing buildings to prepare for a huge second wave this fall. The total spending has been about 8 million to date and we haven’t even cracked 800 cases which more than half that number come from a remote northern community. I think we are 12 deaths and 50-70 hospitalizations between 3 hub hospitals (not all at the same time). I don’t think we will need them but the government is being cautious almost to a fault.
Enough. Man it feels weird to talk about covid related stuff again.
Checking in again, damn you guys been busting it up!!
congrats to Teddy on #400!
Finally lurked your way into it.
Glad to see the uber post in the grave.
Too much to read in a short time, hate to miss out!
1000 posts under a month. WOW
edit....meant to quote.... I meant being the boss like you said Teddy
we used to have a bs thread years ago that was getting over 100 posts a day. when it finally died after about four years and 7 versions to save space, it had over 250,000 posts.
We were talking about people getting too complacent with covid yesterday, almost like it never happened. Lots of places still closed because there isn't going to be a reason to open with no tourism. Some can't open because of lack of room to keep people apart and others love getting that money the Feds are throwing around and forget what it's like to go out and actually work. I'm not looking forward to part two and the chaos that will come with it.

[QUOTE=Y2KW57;19333788]I really felt kinda bad, because Scag's hit 1K posts today, and it would have been really cool to see him hit 1K twice in the same day./QUOTE]

Other than that gotta work today. Hazardous materials survey at an old 1960's shopping center. Asbestos, Lead, PCB's, Mold and whatever else I can find.

Sounds like a good time. I was working at an old Canadian forces air base in a boiler room and the walls were grey. The old guy I was with said to me "Yeah young fella its asbestos, don't lick the walls"
Morning all, finally dry enough to seal the deck today. I'll keep an eye on the goings on around here. Hope everyone has a good day. (I can see Scags filling up the mower now).
For sure Bowtie, post some pics. So you are just prepping the area for storage? Any future plans on a second shop?
Got 'er almost finished this AM. There's a guy spreading and grading some topsoil from the edges of the stabilized area to the property lines. After he's done there he will seed it and hopefully Mother Nature will water it in for us. We've only been in here since Nov 1st of last year but we really needed the room. Evidently the aerial, which is the PDF, was taken before we stocked up because we are busting at the seams (when we can get material). Talked to the gentleman that I bought the lots from and he's developing the rest of the acreage beyond the cul-de-sac. He has a barn on the acre next to the one we just bought so he's selling that one last. Our name's on it already. Have a great day, Gents.

As long as you don't find any Antifa or spotted owls, you're good.

Looks like when the pictures were taken, you were busting at the seams already. You definitely needed the extra room.

For sure. Damn! Got to go to Plant City. Emergency material run. Our truck from Bulls Gap, Tn. just showed up minus some stuff we need. I wish they would get caught up so we can quit this. 400 mile round trip. See y'all tonight.
