Too funny. I guess there’s no more local singles in your area. Bronco buried them all 😂

We have the opposite of Castle Doctrine... We have Responsibility to retreat doctrine... No lie. The criminals have all the rights... and they are emboldened by that for sure. I need to believe my life is in danger or that of my family and I cant even clear the house if something goes bump in the night with any confidence that wont be taken as undue aggression in court. In fact when the new governor came in to power they went after the NRA for offering Carry Guard Insurance... because they said it was insurance coverage for illegal activity... The rhetoric they spewed would make you puke.
So the best practice is to have a plan for different circumstances. Right now as far as I know there isn't specifically a law requiring the guns be locked in a safe at all times when not in use... but bills to that effect have been narrowly stopped for a few years now. But you can be charged if an unauthorized individual gets their hands on your weapon and something bad happens. Just short of actually making you the criminal if an actual criminal steels your weapon and shoots someone... But if a kid is in your house and gets hands on a weapon you are fully responsible due to not having it locked and I mean locked.
My scenario of clown breaking in is pretty accurate. Its just the wife and I now so no kids or unauthorized other kids in my house... or other family members sleeping behind walls or walking at 2am... but if theres a smash in the night I literally have to warn that Im armed and called the cops... assuming Im lucky enough to wake up at the intruder.. and stay in my room identifying the risk they are accepting if they make it to the top of the stairs. If I am forced to shoot there will be a full investigation and I will have to justify my actions to a judge and jury. Theres no police chief determining no charges should be filed because it was a good shoot. And even after a full acquittal there will be civil charges as the rest of the DNA chain claims they lost all the future income the bottom dweller would have generated and sobs and cries that the evil gun owner killed little Wilbur in the night.
You don't want to be using a 44 mag or something scary because you may be portrayed as having used excessive force due to caliber or even as pre meditatively seeking to kill someone because you chose a particularly deadly caliber.
No hollow points. You can buy them. Not sure if you can transport them. I suppose you can shoot them for plinking. But if you use them in the protection of life and limb youll be charged with using illegal ammunition...And in court youll be accused by the opposition attorney as desiring to kill someone and just waiting with these deadly "cop killer" or "armor piercing" illegal bullets...
Since you will be defending your action in court... 9mm being so common is defensible. I would think bird shot or like 7.5 or #8 target loads could be defended as "bird shot" … How your gun is set up will likely come under scrutiny...
Lets say you have an AR set up with lazer and a light... pretty common right? In court in NJ you might expect to be categorized as a gun nut... militia type... Navy Seal wanna be killer...
All this crap which really has zero to do with the fact that some A-hole smashed your sliding door and barged into your house at 3am and threatened to kill you and your wife... and hes already in your house as your awakening from a coma like sleep... and the first cops wont arrive until maybe 5 or 7 minutes AFTER shots are heard and a neighbor calls 911... if your lucky and they were relatively close when the call goes out.
I shoot on guys farms.. friends who allow some hunting on their property and a few people to shoot. The law actually states that I am only allowed to transport my weapons to and from "legitimate gunsmiths or a range" what ever that means. Guns locked. Ammo totally separate from the weapons...
If your in a pick up truck with an open bed... and its raining.. and your heading to your friends private property... and you have guns with trigger guard locks on them. Unloaded. And in a separate range bag you have your ammo... But its all in the cab with you... I believe you could have a problem if the wrong donut eater decides your his fun for the day.
Luckily out here in western NJ most of the cops and State Troopers your likely to encounter are on our side of the law. But theres no guarantee... you need to have your paperwork straight...and equipment stowed.. in case Barney Fifes wife is cheating on him with a guy driving a Magnetic Super Duty...

Damn Mike, that's ridiculous. That's how it's done though. They just keep chipping away at your rights until they're gone and you end up in a *#@^-show like this with no hope of ever reversing it, near term anyway. When we travel I have a .380. 9mm, and sometimes my 10mm. I get kind of nervous going through states like Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and other assorted states with tight gun laws. I'm pretty comfortable down here but some of the states we traverse are shaky.

OK gentlemen...please keep political talk out of this thread and keep it to the purpose the title indicates. You all know...and...have been reminded of FTE Rules and Regulations. Thanks in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Sorry Ken... we seem to live in a very politicized time...
What didn't qualify as General Nonsense? The accurate descriptions of gun laws? Or the contempt in which they are held? Or donut eating? It was the donuts.....Im sure.

Alright guys. Gun rights, defence laws, open carry, NRA etc was flagged. Any user can report these topics so we will stay clear of them. I started it off by asking why shop owners are lined up with the whole nine yards ready. My bad so I’m off to the doghouse to drink some shine, eat some poutine and make superduty heat shield armour for the upcoming Newfie - USA war 😂

Has anyone seen Bronco in any threads? I haven’t noticed a single post from him and I can’t search for users by name. He was pretty stressed when we got shut down.

According to his profile, BroncoRN has not posted since 5/29. Thanks for making this Thread. Been lurking (and a sometime poster) since the original 19 thread. Always brought me a smile when I saw a new post notification in my inbox. Glad I was able to find this thread.

So basically anything that goes bang is off limits. Got it. Nipple rubbin, group sex, Covid stuff, and general deviant behavioral descriptions are good to go. I've seen some political stuff on here in other threads but it affects me none and I sure as hell don't care enough about it to complain to a moderator. Some people can't help themselves though.

If shine and pouting weren’t allowed, AdirondEx would be in his glory. There wouldn’t be any Canadians left on here. 🇨🇦
