I know the feeling Mike. I walk a lot in my job and the idea of going up north soon and the thought of having to trudge through thick willows and muskeg makes me tired. I have a home gym set up with an elliptical, heavy bag, speed bag and incline/decline weight bench With some free weights but the motivation slid down to damn near nothing within the last month.
I couldn’t even imagine winds up to 100mph. A few years ago we got winds up to about 65 and the downtown area had to be evacuated. Glass panels falling off high rises and one high rise started to sway too much. Nothing like driving down the highway in the prairies while being chased by a grain bin. 😂
Today is the first day we haven’t had wind in the 30+ mph range in the last week. Think a guy could get a tee time? Nope. Golf course are packed around here. Courses that are normally really slow during the week are completely booked 4 days in advance.
The wife says she’s going to hold an FTE intervention for me soon. I caught her the other night with my phone in her hand adding to the 7 word game thread. I had to delete her post because it was definitely not safe for work. Maybe she was trying to tell me something 😂
Gusts at 100 are like a hurricane. I don't have actual confirmation of that but the news said 4 people died in Pa. just south of me. No further info on that.
