Well, well, we’ll. You guys have been busy today. I should know better to post an incest video and then head an hour south to play 27 holes. By holes, I mean golf, not my 27 sisters, or 9 sisters depending on freaky you get. 😂
Its quite simple. We don’t share up here. My sister is MY sister. 😂 I had a bunch of your guys posts multi quoted but this thread jumps around like an ADD child At Michael Jackson’s wonderland.
As for the animals, don’t listen to that moose. He tells stories. Dam liar. 😳
The proper term for a he/she is SHIM. 😂
Thats all I can remember from the 60 some posts. I’m tired. Shower and bed for me.
Edit #2. I deleted the first edit. The joke wasn’t funny.
Anyone here have or have priced a home backup generator? I've been looking at them off & on for a couple years, had one priced yesterday that was totally out of line. Have another one coming tomorrow that so far sounds promising.
Just one of those things we want to get done before we retire.

Hey Matt, I just had one installed. 22kw Generac. 150 amp transfer switch. A little north of $8k, if I recall correctly. Another $1500 or so for the propane tanks. I can double check those figures.

Can't remember exactly what the invoice said but I'm thinking around $5,600. installed. Previous owner had it done probably 5-6 years ago. Generac 21KW Propane, installed right outside next to main circuit breaker panel so it was a fairly easy install.
At the end of negotiations previous owner tried playing games saying if I wanted the generator it would be an additional $5,000. Yeah right, stopped writing the deposit check and put it in my pocket. Guy was a total jerkoff, gaffed everything he could from the plumbing to burying extension cords and catv wire. Found 3 so far or should I say the lawnmower found them.
Guys that have or want a home generator, how often does your power go out?
Out at my acreage, the power might go out 3x per year And never longer than an hour unless there is planned maintenance. At the bungalow in the city, 30x in the summer. It goes out so often that I don’t even set the alarm clock in the spare bedroom anymore. My area in the city has been nicknamed land of the blinking clocks. I’m pretty sure the power company over loaded the area when it was built in 2008.

thanks!! That is exactly the setup I'm looking at. And the price is the same too. I'll find out tomorrow for sure. Still have to get price on propane tank. How big of a tank did you get to run that??

Found the receipt. I lied, it's a 20KW and was $6,500 and change.

Ours doesn't go out too much really, 3 or 4 times a year maybe. But when it does, it usually takes awhile. And our biggest issue is ice storms in winter. We had a bad ice storm a few years back & we were out for a week and a half. So this is just piece of mind.

Around here it's one of those things you buy hoping to never have to use it. A few years back when we had a couple of glancing blows from hurricanes we were without power for 6 and 5 days respectively. I have a 5k portable, but that thing's loud as hell and it doesn't meet the needs. We are on well and septic, so it sucks not to be able to shower and have running water. I will be happy if it only has to run for 15 minutes every Saturday @ 9AM like it's supposed to for the weekly "exercise" from here on out.
