This is where your plugs will go.

Will superduty ac compressor work with the excursion or does it only need to be an excursion?

99-03 7.3 PSD compressors are all the same.

I have good used ones and probably line sets too. PM me if interested.

Are you using the wiring harnesses from a 7.3 Excursion?

Almost nothing from the V10 will work (wiring). Trying to hack a truck harness into an Excursion creates a non-serviceable abortion.

yes it’s the same wiring I’m assuming. I’m not sure are they different plugs ?

Basically, everything is different.

I’ve done a number of V10 to 7.3 swaps. There is only one way to do it right. I swap EVERY SINGLE WIRE and module, etc from a 7.3 Excursion into the V10 Excursion. I do not cut or splice a single wire. When diagnosing a problem on one of my conversions, anyone with a factory service manual can work on it.

Basically, anything else is an abortion and more headaches than it’s worth. I ‘fixed’ one of those before and swore I’d never do it again.

Ive replaced the dash harnesses in a few trucks that had an aftermarket alarm hacked in by ‘pro’ stereo shops... Trying to figure out which hacked wires are causing intermittent problems is stress and aggravation I can live without.

Another thing just popped up today I know it’s off topic when I was driving it the fuel gauge and rpm gauge started to flicker all by itself so I pulled the cluster out and and the pins looked really depressed so I cleaned them and pulled the pins out a little with a pick and the rpm gauge work but the fuel gauge now just stays at full could my cluster be bad ? The miles to e works

Those are the correct AC plugs.

You need the 7.3 compressor and lines.

This Excursion has actually run with the 7.3 in it?????

So I ordered the compressor it should be in by Monday . I ran into a small problem the ac line that splits to the rear ac it’s a little longer and has different bend in it for the v10 the 7.3 one is just a 90 degree turn
edit : I just ordered it screw it I’ll find out if it does if not I’ll force it to lol but would this branch off on the ac line from the compressor to the condenser radiator would this be where the high side switch screws on ????

I'll hopefully remember to take some pics tomorrow for you. No high pressure switch from what I remember, a high pressure blow off on the compressor if I remember.

I’m not sure either , I can’t find anything on it and I just got off the phone that I bought the x from and he said the v10 ac compressor was good but being that the compressor lines are cut would that mean I would have to flush or replace the evaporator and lines as well or just throw a vacuum on it and change it ??? And would the expansion valve be ok?

this is the line that was cut and it’s been open for some time I’m not sure really what to do this is my first ac system iv worked on
