Absolutely was, thank you. I personally like the Ram interior (limited trim) very much. It has high quality materials (at least on first impression). There is more plastic in the Ford, That is what my heart tells me. My brain on the other hand tells me the Ford is less likely to have issues. I do like the look of the Ford on the outside better than the Ram, and it seems like it may be the "better more reliable" tool of the two.
OK everyone, I have read a lot and asked a few questions, now I am getting close to handing my hard earned $ to a car dealer (well, when the dealers open their doors up again that is). I like both the F350 (likely King Ranch but possibly Limited) and the Ram Limited. My truck will be a long bed, crew cab, SRW. There are things that I favor about each making my decision difficult. Please tell me why I should choose the Ford (or the Ram if that is how you feel). Bias in your answers is fine, but please thoughtful comments only. "The other brand sucks" type comments are of no help. They are both nice trucks, I simply want to know why you chose Ford. Also if there are any "I couldn't live without it" options that you want to mention, tell me about them! Thank you for helping me make my decision.
In the end, only you can decide.
You should test drive both and then make your choice.
Sorry to disappoint you with this thread, but when you end up in my hospital and need surgery, I will answer every one of your questions, no matter how silly they may sound to me, because you are looking for support from someone with knowledge that you don't have. I understand the limitations of such questions in a forum, but despite those limitations good/helpful information is easily garnered from such discussions. Next time don't participate, you'll be much happier.
No, I'm just new to HD pickups (and 5th wheels) and am trying to make the best decision I can. As I learn more, my thoughts change and I develop new questions. I thought that was what forums were for. It seems most members are happy to share their knowledge and I appreciate all of their comments.
And the Dodge guys always have them stuck way out.
I’ve never understood why RAM owners drive around with the tow mirrors fully extended and they’re not towing anything.
I wish I had a pic but every time I see a RAM like this and nothing being towed, it immediately reminds me of Beavis turning into Cornholio with his hans up and his shirt pulled over his head.

I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about.
It's because of the way the mirrors are designed. The convex shape at the outside of the mirrors when they're 'folded' is useless. Believe me, I'm not defending it at all, I hate the Ram tow mirrors, but that's the reason why they do it. At least unfolded, the convex bottom can act like a blind spot mirror.
I will be using it to pull a new 5th wheel, The 5th I plan to purchase is 41' 8", GVRW 15,500 lbs, hitch weight 2384 lbs (several trips per year) but also using it for a daily driver during the bad weather months. If it was only for travel I would get the dually, but I park at several hospitals/day and I don't feel like I should be taking up 2 parking spots when I am there. If any other information would help you help me, please let me know.
I will STRONGLY suggest that you find a CAT Scale (most large truck stops have them) and weight truck and truck with 5th wheel, I think your wt values are low, very low for a 41 ft rig and same for your pin weight, I had more pin weight on my 43 ft rig...but I am talking LOADED out for travel wt. So weigh your truck with you and a full tank of fuel, the hook up and weigh with 5th fully loaded for trtavel. You will get, 3 weights, Steering, Drive wheels incl PIN wt and 5th weight. Scales are long and you will see where to place your wheels so everything gets weighed.

I am sure you can find same same for RAM and Chevy/GMC , compare. What you are looking the same input = cost. for EXAMPLE: 7 years coverage, 125,000 mi = $X,XXX. The more years and miles give you a better result.
Now compare the 3 with the same data input and resulting costs.
Flood, sells ONLY FORD OEM plans, no gimmicks no TV advertisements, real deal.
So what exactly are you looking at? You are seeing what Ford or other KNOWS their out year costs to be on the truck, FORD knows and they are not going to lose money. What it is an probability of failure chart measured in costs. The out year costs are the expected cost plus profit for Ford. If you an out year plan for $2800, then Ford expect the plan to cost them LESS than 2800 over the out years.
Wife wanted a Range Rover, about $100k, ok if wife is not happy then I KNOW I won't be, but how to talk her out of it. So I went to the dealer and asked out out year maintenance plans. Plan was over $9000 bucks, she changed her British mind!
I do not know what the results would be, I do know the cost for my F 450 diesel 4x4 for Premium Care (everything is covered) 125,000 mi, 6 years is $1960...I see a LOT of reliability in the Ford products!!!
kubota(ford) John Deer(ram). Johndeer tractors are full of fancy crap that are expensive to fix. They have motors from many diff manufactures (for the same model) depending on year. They are controlled by a sevice system with its own hotspot and computer, and only the dealer can reset it. Kubota’s are tough as nails and have less of the fancy crap, actually more like a toyota. I had a johndeer 40 hp tractor, it took the service department 3 weeks to identify what make and the engine was(seems there were 3 dif manufactures that year) tractor down a month because of a water pump. That tractor was traded right then, For the big orange.
I suspect you have the center console configuration. If you get the front bench configuration, there are no rear HVAC vents since they would reside in the back of the center console.
In my 2020 crew cab I have the 40/20/40 split bench in the front, and the vents for the rear seats are under the front seats.
Not sure how well they work as no one ever sits back there.
I ownedGMCs from 98 through 2019. No problems. A few minor issues. If I wanted to go to bigger tires it was a major expense. A bit of rust on my 2007 HD pissed me off. I was interested in the alumaduty living up here in the salt belt. And I have a 2017 450 for work that I loved from day one.
Add to that... Fords truck factory is in the U.S.A. the others not so much...
Not to say there arent a bunch of chinese crap parts and things made in Mexico... But the truck was built by American workers.
That was the last bit of the puzzle for me...
When we went shopping we were seriously considering a Ram, mostly for the air rear suspension option.
We went to test drive one. Wife didn't like where the headrest touched the back of her head. No adjustments
worked. Never left the dealer lot. Went and placed an order for a F450. If the wife isn't happy no ones happy.
End of story.
