I’m supposed to be buying a 7.3 in a week or so. ( dealer ordered truck on the way). I’m starting to wonder if I should wait till the bugs get worked out as I don’t kneed a new truck. Just want to get a new truck before my 16 gets older. It has the 6.2 and hasn’t had any issues. All I have done to it is fill it up with gas and change the oil.
Most of the people saying don’t buy one, don’t have one. For the most part, owners really like them. Mine doesn’t have a lot of miles yet, but all of my comments would be positive. Only time will tell, but early results are encouraging.

Agreed.
It is unfortunate some people are having trouble with their 7.3s.
The 6.2 is pretty much considered to be bullet proof.. yet some owners have had issues.. You buy a new truck because it comes with a warranty. Use it.Get back to us and let us know what it was..
Yes it is unfortunate, the eagerness, the waiting, its not just ford, but after the problems i had with my hellcat charger i now wait at least 2 model years before i pull the wallet out. I love my truck, i have had no problems, 7,000 miles, but i think assembly quality sucks for all the big 3. And they are built and engineered to the thinest dollar.

Just want make sure I read this right because you keep saying you haven’t had any issues.........you have a 6.2 not the 7.3.
It sucks to say, but this is why you have a warranty.
Yes, there is going to be an occasional issue. You'll find that with any engine in any brand of truck. But, one guy with issues doesn't mean the 7.3L is a bad engine.
