7.3 issue, plus others
Wife almost already kicked me to the curb over it. If something like this ends up happening during our vacation, I'm dead meat

Ford customer service reopened the case from 3 days ago and will be in contact soon. Looking for reimbursement of hotel expenses. They gave me a nice F150 to drive till repair is done.
I am going to ask about a buyback also
Thanks for all your reples

Said last seal wasn't installed correctly.
480 miles so far so good.
Have requested a buyback. Ford said my nearly $1,000.00 hotel expenses should be reimbursed.
Now I am having shifting issues, Twice it went from 5th to 1st, talk about a jolt.
My selling dealer will be seeing me tomorrow so hope he can document the issue to help in buy back

YOU MUST CALL FORD EVERY TIME YOU HAVE AN ISSUE and have them open a case. Don’t stall and call them immediately and every time you have issues. Save the case numbers and document who you talked to at a Ford.
I think that this is the third transmission related issue you have had so if it’s possible to link all issues together then you may have a case for a buyback.
Research your State’s Lemon Law rules. Each state is different. Here in Florida 3 times same issue and manufacture gets one more time to fix it. After that it qualifies for Lemon Law. Lemon Law in Florida is good for 2 years from delivery.
I CANT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH THAT YOU MUST RUN WITH THE BALL. If you don’t already have then get copies of all service invoices and dates out of service. Every time you talk to Ford or dealership rep take notes and write down everything.
My 2019 F-350 is the 3rd time I used Lemon Law here in Florida. I simultaneously opened a Lemon Law case with a Florida Stare Attorney, sent a copy of Notice of Defect to Ford via registered mail, opened a case with BBB Autoline and called Ford requesting a buyback. The following day I uploaded all documents to BBB Autoline (original sales contract, Finance agreement, all service invoices, history or service visits, copy of title, copy of all loan payments with breakdown of principle and interest, copy of payoff letter, etc). BBB called me and said I had documented an airtight case.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
or you want a buy back.
This way you keep your truck and you have most all items covered for a long time. Play hard ball with them.
Just to give you an example of timeline.
7/8 Buyback request was started
7/15 received email that buyback was approved
7/20 I received a call from RAV rep confirming Ford would be offering buyback and requesting documents
7/20 I sent requested documents to RAV rep
7/21 RAV rep requested copy of title. Truck is paid off and title is electronic. I went to DMV, got an original title and sent him image of title. He said I should have letter within 10 days nice there’s no lender needing to be paid off.
7/24 RAV rep called me after I sent him email eequsting update. He said that calculated figures were created for buyback but were awaiting “quality group” to approve
7/28 RAV rep sent email also stating that numbers were created but was awaiting final approval before sending me a formal letter.
8/9 Still no letter and no further communication from RAV Rep.
I will need to special order to get similar truck as mine is equipped. Order banks for 2020s close In 5 days so unless agreement is reached this week I will have to order a 2021 which won’t be delivered until late November.
It looks like there is a big shortage of trucks as some dealers around here have few to choose from. Our local Chevy dealer's lot is empty. no trucks at all. Our Ford dealer hear in Mcalester seems to have plenty of trucks but in Muskogee the Ford dealer only shows 3 SD's

I am from the other side of Oklahoma, btw. Over here, there are plenty of trucks in stock at the dealerships, but they are all diesels. Gas trucks seem to go as soon as they get to the lot, and the diesels tend to languish. I custom ordered a F350 with the 6.2, instead of the 7.3.

And I don't do 4x4 as they are to tall to fit in my garage and being disabled I cant get in one so I buy 2x4 and they are as rare as a tree in western Oklahoma
