I love my 7.3 so far... However just did my first oil change, the filter was on crazy tight. Lucky you can fit an oil filter wrench on the filter. The o-ring separated from the filter as I took it off. Gorrila at the factory must have forgotten to put oil on the ring. I reckon most the faults we will see on these trucks will be due to poor assembly.
Have you gotten a straight answer on what the problem is with the transmission? Maybe you can convince them to put a new transmission in.
Is that the only thing about the truck you’re not happy with?
No answer to why front and back seals failed. I ask about that at my dealer yesterday and was told if it fails again they will try for a new tranny if buyback is denied again.
I love the truck other than the tranny problems. I haven't had any more 5th to 1st shifts so hopping it will be alright. This weekend will be towing our 30ft travel trailer to the lake so will see how that goes.
I thank all of you for your advice and reply's. This is a great forum
