I have had my trusty truck for awhile now and I have done different things but I have never put a build thread together. Considering some of my upcoming plans I decided now would be as good as a time as any to start one. If nothing else, it will give me a good way to keep track of my adventures with the truck.
^^^^ that is the way she looked the day I bought her. Supposedly the guy bought it from the original owner who was a family/relative or something. His company was doing well, and luckily for me, he wanted to buy a newer truck.
I had a pretty specific setup in mind: 350, 4x4, PSD (of course), crew cab, 5-speed, red or dark blue, XL trim (I prefer the roll up windows and manual locks). Granted I didn't find one the color I was looking for, but the truck drove well and was well priced. I gladly paid the man and started my adventure.
IIRC I bought the truck in February of 2007 and joined FTE in March. I have definitely learned a ton from all of the knowledge guys here.
First things first, the old girl needed a bath. The headlights were filmed over and the logos needed to be removed. I installed a new set of headlights, tinted the windows, bought a toolbox, bought a couple of tires, installed some wheel well trim, and a factory drop in plastic bed liner.
As a family we have enjoyed our F350s. Here is a shameless shot from a couple of years ago. Dad still has his regular cab, but my brother's green truck was lost in a fire about a year and a half ago.
All but one of my trucks, have had a brush guard and/or a winch bumper. The only truck without one is my red J-series truck. Heck, we all love pics, so i will just upload a shameless pic of that truck while I am at it.
It was actually built for a full sized jeep and I had plans to put it on another truck I had at the time. After some measuring I decided with a little reworking of the brackets, it would fit the 350 pretty easily. I am definitely not the best fab guy but it worked out well and has worked well since install. I did add a 2" front receiver, which is as handy as a pocket on a shirt. I have put it in some pretty tough places and it hasn't failed me yet.

Did you get it trained to stay home yet so you don't need to hook it to the dog cable when parked in the driveway?
Looks like a very nice truck and great base to start with.
