my Temps are in the low 50's to high 40's now but i was seeing Temps in the high 60's at idle ( agian not sure how accurate my temp gun is).Duck fan did it the correct way, those are much better numbers. I have tried to evacuate and refill about 2 years ago with a friend that had the machine but it did not help my situation as I must have had something else wrong. Just hoping this cool shot lasts!! According to one of the videos of cool shot it can unblock clogs in the system.....

Sir, I would like to refer you back to posts #47 and #48 at the link below.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post19388887

I have a similar small analog dial thermometer in my center vent as well. I made sure it was accurate by setting next to two different thermostats in the house. I too would like to take my truck to a trusted FTE source for AC servicing, but there is no one near me for that sort of thing. So, I will live and let live and be grateful for what I have. Now, if I can get in touch with someone that has the ability to reclaim and refill the R134, I will take them up on that offer, but we are a long way from CA.

I am very grateful for the boost of cool air FTN helped me achieve.
Actually yes, I am running a cult. This is my version of Kool Aid.

If you can use all 30 of them, buying it the way I did is certainly the best bang for the buck. You have to order it exworks FL. The Cool Shot Ultra and R134 adapters are ordered separately with minimum quantities of 30 of each.

I don’t know what that means...

If you can help me with a link or directions a wife could follow, I would be grateful. If I’m smart at all, it’s a very narrow bandwidth and presented with copious amounts of smoke n mirrors.

On edit: I don’t mind buying (30). I have (6) 7.3’s in my driveway right now and in spite of telling people I’m ‘retired’, they keep bringing me stuff to fix....

Okay, let me give some background info so it all makes more sense. Errecom, the maker of Cool Shot Ultra is based in Italy. The only representation they have here is a small warehouse in Florida they import product into. This warehouse does nothing but receive product from Italy. They do not ship stuff out to the rest of the USA, at least not when I bought the stuff.

Exworks means that the seller will make the product available at a certain location and how it ends up in your hands is up to you. In this case, exworks FL means that you'll have to arrange for pickup and shipping from their warehouse in Florida. What I did was I coordinated with the warehouse supervisor and told UPS where to pick it up from. I paid for UPS to do that.

Shoot your email to me via PM and I'll make the introduction to the salesperson in Italy I worked with. I'll tell them you want to order the same thing I did and they'll quote on that to you.

This is intriguing. It was 105* today with a "feel" of 110*. A/C struggled hard to stay @ 55* and that's with the ball valve mod.

I also have the ball valve mod, which did help, but still needed a little more umph. This cool shot ultra was just the ticket!! For 20 bucks you can't beat it...... unless all our systems crash in 6 months . I don't know how long they have tested this stuff, but it definitely works

I've had it in my system since the start of summer last year. It's still going strong.

I should mention that I put the Cool Shot Ultra into a brand new system, as in everything from the condenser coil to the evap coil and everything in-between was replaced, so there wasn't any old refrigerant or oil for the Cool Shot Ultra to contend with. YMMV.
