Yeah you do. Our systems have a lot of refrigerant in there.

When I was working on my truck recently in the garage, I would get up with the sun and work in the garage until I couldn't stand it any longer. I set up a fan and FTN schooled me on homebrew swamp coolers, but I was too stubborn and would just give up after a while because it was too hot. Reminded me of the days in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. It was 120 in the shade in Saudi one time...

I always said that if I was a settler traveling with those people and one guy said "hey, this is a great spot to live, let's do it here". Kick his *** and keep walking!

I have a kit coming to me as well to give a try. Does it come with instructions for install?

There are a couple of videos on YouTube about it. One is from the manufacturer and is computer animation. That is what I went by. There are some foreign language videos, but words are not neccessary to see what the process is.

Very simple really. Just be quick and firm when putting the adapter on the low side. Also, the low side port is on the accumulator by the HVAC fan and evaporator coil.

Well the cool shot ultra definitely helps!!! My temp gun is giving me readings all over the place ( been meaning to replace it) , so i don't have exact readings but the truck is much cooler now. For the first time in a long time I actually had to point the vents away from me as it was getting chilly! Definitely worth the 20 bucks, hopefully it will last.....

I guess it is official... Cool Shot Ultra works... Or we have been lured into a cult of false promises and disbelief...

I am very grateful for the boost of cool air FTN helped me achieve.

What’s the most economical way to buy this?

Can I still get a 30 pack like you did Leonardo?

yes the adapter was the correct size, but was a little tight to put on. I may have done it wrong but i hooked up the adapter, adapter line, and syringe before i installed it on the low pressure port. When I pushed the adapter onto the low pressure port , the blast of refrigerant blew out the plunger on the syringe . I wrestled the plunger back into the syringe and was able to insert the cool shoot...

When I installed my adapter, it was a tight fit as well. The first time I failed and pushed out a bit of R134. The second time I went gorilla on it and it popped right on and I thought "well, that was easy". I then installed the tube and syringe and started the truck. Then I pushed the Cool Shot Ultra in with the AC running.

Easy peasy...

The drop in running temperature is good at 5-7 degree drop, but the idle drop is what really made me happy.

I think this stuff works and am glad it does.

Thank you for chiming in sir.
What kind of vent temps are you seeing? I have a small meat thermometer stuffed into one of the center vents on my truck. Before I recently had it serviced, I was seeing consistent 50* temps when the outside air was about 85* with about 35% RH. I brought it to Duck Fan and his slick machine pulled out right about 1 pound of refrigerant, and put 2.5 pounds in. I was happy that after 21 years there was any refrigerant in there at all. Now I'm seeing 39* under the same conditions.
