Thanks Eric, I was afraid to do the compression test because I might have died at the thought of the engine being crap but feel much better now that they are solid. Good foundation for us to build off of.

Of all the things we touched, so many things could have gone wrong but i take my hat off to the old man, he did a pretty sweet job with it!

Yeah Keith, glad we found it, was getting frustrated.

As for another one, I’ve learned a lot but not nearly as helpful as FTE folk. I replaced basically the whole damn engine lol and my old man did the labor.

happy to help if I can but don’t get your hopes up!

Yeah my dad did the pigtails on his desk with the whole harness out of the truck. He was “pretty certain” it was done right lol. Once we changed things out and that bank still triggered I told him to relook at the pigtails.

Glad it’s done...... now time to enjoy so of the work and a non leaking truck lol

I'm going to try to bring the thread current on things we did (not the issues we ran into!!). Lot's of the stuff was replaced with new pieces:
  • Resealed the front cover, plenums, oil cooler and the oil pan
  • New transmission seal
  • New rear main seal
  • Melling 208 LPOP
  • New OEM waterpump (Navistar from RR)
  • New Serpentine belt
  • New Alternator
  • New AC compressor, piping and orifice tube
  • New upper, lower and return radiator hoses
  • New T500 hpop
  • New SS Hpop lines
  • Refurbed the IPR
  • New 910 Comp springs, keepers and valve stem seals
  • New Smith Brother push rods
  • Driven Efuel (best thing we ever did)
  • New OEM UVCH and VC Gaskets
  • Turbo rebuild with RR billet, KC s300 wheel, 360 bearing and a 1.0 AR housing
  • Deleted pedestal
  • New RR Uppipes
  • New exhaust manifolds
  • Glowshift Trans, EGT, Fuel pressure and Boost gauges
  • fumoto valve
  • Injector orings
  • New style oil rail plugs
  • All new SS brake and tranny lines
I'm sure there is some other little stuff but that's the gist. Up next will be stage 1s, a tune and an intercooler.
