I'm not sure exactly how yours is set up, but this is how mine is. I cut up and reused the stock 302 throttle cable. It was set up to clip into the original EFI throttle body.
For what it's worth:
I pulled the spring and clip off of the end. (ie. crushed the plastic with pliers so I could cut the cable)
I then slid the cable out and cut off the plastic clip and bracket mount from the end.
It left me with a single, long sheath.
I was the able to put the end of the sheath into the adjustment portion from the Lokar bracket I have.
Thanks Fordboy. I have that same type of cable, return spring bracket, but it would not attach to my Holley 1848. And of course there is no way with the Quadrajet I'm putting on, since two of the QJ mounting bolts go through the top of the carb. Maybe it'll work if I get around to buying a Summit 600 carb.
