I had the same prob but don't remember where they came from. I welded in what I had and made custom pieces to fill in the rest. I completely rebuilt both sides completely. I remember having a hell of a time getting the new panel positioned correctly. Seems like the profile was off a ways and had to "modify".
I finally got some steel that I custom shaped and slid behind the brace and bracket that's back there and then used some custom pieces on the outside skin too. Didn't even end up using the piece I ordered like you said the profiles were even close
Well been awhile since I've updated...been busy with other things but I'm finally almost done with the bed. New goal for paint is mid September so I'm getting close! Trying to get it as perfect as possible..blocking, sanding, blocking, feeling doing light tests, wet tests, etc. In between drying times been working on smoothing out some panels on the 1950 JD A. Here's some pics of her today after a fresh clean and the interior 99% done. Enjoy the pics
Taken it apart and cleaned up but haven't replaced the needles for ethanol gas. We typically run non ethanol in it
If you end up having any troubles or feel like ya need more power... best thing I ever did for my 44 B was to replace the brass main valve.
You can clean them up and reuse them but mine was too far gone so I just bought new (I can email ya the link for eBay cz it's the only place I've found them that wasn't a scam) You won't believe the amount of dirt/rust/debris is stuck in there! I can get a pic of my old one... it was BAD. Do you happen to know which carb it is? Mine is a DLTX-34

Sure if ya got the link! I'm not sure exactly I think it's either a 34 or a 42. No telling if it's original or not 😂
Well slowly working on getting the bed ready to go into color! Finally got a date set of the 29th for shooting color here's some progress of the wet sanding and after I painted the frame and the FORD letters in the grille shell white
