thanks for drawing those up so fast! I’ll scratch my head and see which one looks like less headache haha appreciate it 👍🏽
No problem. Honestly the single switch is less hassle for day to day. It'll always light up with the dome light (when doors open) and if you want it on just flip the switch.
The 3 way switch you will have to make an effort to flip from always on to the dome switch if you want it to come on with the doors. However it does give you the option of turning it completely off IF you want that feature.
Me personally I'd wire up the single switch. But either way it will look good!
Also may look into the possible 3 way switch designs. You may not find one you like and therefore makes the decision easy lol

I don’t think there’s anyway to ground the headliner since it’s fiber optics there’s no actual power running into it it’s just a led light traveling through the fibers. And the box with the numbers in it, is this the relay you were talking about?

Yeah it is the relay. I believe you can buy some that have two outputs (87 & 87a) but you can also buy them with just one (87) either will work and if you buy the two output (most common) you just don't use the one prong (87a)
Yeah I've not wired fiber optics before but the LED that is lighting the fibers should still be grounded (I assume it's wired like a normal light or led) I was mainly just trying to give you pictures. The output (87) will go to your light Source for the fiber optics and then finish wiring the light source (which should include that ground) normally.
(To picture what you're doing) Basically wire the fiber optics like you would normally... and then where you have power coming into it; cut your picture along that line and that's where you insert the relay. 30 will be your power in (from battery or fuse block), 87 will be your power out (to light source of fiber optics) 85/86 pertain to the dome light and switch.
You probably have a power box lighting the fiber optics and that box will have a power cord (pictured in my rudimentary drawing lol) and then it shows how the relay comes into play.

now I’m following ya! Thanks that helps a ton, definitely going that route. Thanks for all the help I’ll post some more shots of this thing in action. Just got it installed!
About to finish the hood insulator/plastic liner piece today. Next step is to find some high heat white enamel paint to outline the ford logo and then move onto installing the rest of the headliner electrical
