So.. if one of us at a bank branch get it, we have to close the branch down for 14 days. (don't know why that is the magic number) The Federal Government fines the bank $18,000 per day for being closed. The Government is the one that says if we get it, we have to close. See how this works?

So, that’s a good way for the govt to make $$, was a well written law.

Was, indeed! Good thing that money doesn't come out of my pocket. I can almost bet that the powers that be.. would send you home sick, make me work from home with a laptop, and play hush hush about someone from the branch getting ill, hoping the rest of the branch didn't show symptoms. Especially when 18,000 per day is at stake.

I have no idea why, if a business can operate off of 50% staff, how they can justify having 100% staff.

Why I suppose some staff are part time so owners don't have to pay for extra employee compensations.

I was thinking of the ones that didn't use part time staff, but I see your point.

When I worked at sunflower we used to work 4 days and get a day off as unemployment-- That way we didn't have to fire people.I wonder if that is what they are doing - or something like that??

I am not sure.

I kind of wanted to be one of those non essential employees, with the big bonus, and the time off to do pretty much whatever I wanted to do for a while. I guess the only up point is that I feel a little more job security at the end of the day, but that time off would be really nice too.

I was wondering yesterday-- If people can work from home-- and now that it is set up to do so-- are they going to keep working from home? WIll that be the new norm? I can't in my job- but for some people?

Going to a workplace was the norm, and now may not be for many people. Much will depend on productivity of those not coming to a workplace.
